So, I've been trying to collect evidence about the media bias Ron Paul is currently facing, but I've been having difficulties.
The problem is- when I use Google News- the search results it returns from a website such "www.abc.com", it returns an inflated number of results, many times with duplicates- so it's not an accurate measure when put under scrutiny. I can usually find the accurate number after a few pages forward when the search results show 100 per page, but that doesn't take away from all the duplicates and excess crud such as mentions picked up from messageboard or tickers which surface on the results page.
Is there a better way?
In any case, I'm going to try and gather data from the following: ABC, CBS, MSNBC, FOX News, CNN Video, CBS Video, ABC Video. I allready tried to get some data from ABC, and the Video results were pretty easy to find, and the evidence is pretty telling.
The most interesting aspect, is that many "articles" go into depth about how candidates clash on issues. Whenever Ron Paul is mentioned, it's NEVER about the issues- in fact, most of the time it's about his success online.
Another interesting factoid, is that of the 13 times ABC mentioned Ron Paul, 7 of them included the word "long-shot".
I'm not an analyst- so I need some help, are there any guidelines or suggestions you would make so that this survey would become more scientific?
Oh, and if anyone has any evidence like this:
