..

And despite the US government's massive anti-drug efforts, the United States remains the world's top drug market, one amply supplied by South American cartels.

The US Drug Enforcement Agency has observed ever larger quantities of illegal drugs pouring into the country.

They work for the CIA. Who cares if they're the world's most inefficient drug cartel if they have the whole DEA beating up their competition?

Because NIXON & the NEOCONS reasoned the cause of AMERICAN VOCAL and ASSEMBLY PROTESTS to the GOVERNMENTS in the country was due to drugs.

look at this and page 169of the budget (I LOVE HOW THEY EXPENSE BRIBES, ETC):

The Patriot Act Reauthorization of 2005 greatly enhances DEA’s authority to target and arrest
drug traffickers that provide financial support to terrorist organizations. The Patriot Act makes it
a crime for a person anywhere in the world to manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to
manufacture or distribute a controlled substance while providing financial support to terrorist
organizations.

Tons of DEA Job Openings, LOOK at the SALARIES!:

Intelligence Analyst----------------------------- $102K
Chemist------------------------------------------- $239K

PLUS:

"...During a recent DEA investigation, Operation Holdfast, one of the targets utilized e-mail to
communicate with organizational members in the United States and Colombia. The targets used
e-mail to pass telephone numbers and logistics information related to maritime vessels used by
the drug trafficking organization to transport drugs from Colombia into the Caribbean for
transshipment into the United States. Intercepts of Internet communications, including e-mail
and VoIP, led to the seizure of 2.2 tons of cocaine and identification of more than a dozen
organization members. Internet targeting enabled DEA and its foreign law enforcement
counterparts to initiate wire intercept investigations in five countries, including the United States"

Americans just like going to jail, I guess. :confused:Exactly. Damn silly americans thinking they have the right to utilize harmless, organic plant matter in the privacy of their own homes. Thankfully the DEA is here to set things straight.

Americans will buy anything. thats how we roll.

lets face it cocaine is not a poor mans drug, and while its very popular in other wealthy nations, none of them have the sheer buying power Americans do.

I mean an 8 ball of coke is like having a prime rib dinner and getting a diamond ring all in one shot. not because of its monetary value, but because of its legal status. Its like people who hunt protected species for game trophies. Sure you should shoot a deer, but how many people are out there shooting white rhinos??
