Hello, beloved forum members.

In an attempt to raise standards in this forum, I have picked at random 5 threads to grade. The criteria used to grade these threads are based on:

a) How does this thread challenge a national media who support openly an agenda to ignore Dr. Ron Paul and other Independents and Third parties?
b) How does this thread challenge the myth that Dr. Ron Paul attracts extremists?
c) Does this thread perpetuate conspiracy?
d) Does this thread forsake the use of rational thought processes for the sake of using the political spectrum as a playing field to bicker about partisan politics?

While there are other criteria that one can use when judging the quality of these threads, I am well aware that many who post in here don't have a lot of time to be thoughtful.

The helpful input received recently by diligent forum members in regards to the type of system utilized when grading threads is appreciated muchly so. A 5 point scale is being considered as is a system that has each member wear a gold, silver or ruby red star on their forehead depending how their thread rates. This latter system would please the behavioral psychologists who both support Dr. Ron Paul and the the benefits of positive reinforcement because it would do away with failing grades.

I tried this grading process on my son the other night by placing a gold star on his forehead after he spoke favorably about Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt.

Thread:Sticky: ~~~ Must Read Books ~~~

Grade: A

Comment: This thread puts forth a positive testimonial for the Dr. Ron Paul Revolution while it doesn't perpetuate the myth that his supporters are crazed extremists who delve deeply into conspiracy theories. After reading this thread, I am left with the impression that Paulists read books. Great thread!

Thread:The Rise of the Fourth Reich
Member: Truth Warrior

Grade: C

Comment: Unfortunately, this type of thread perpetuates the myths that Paulists are extremists who delve deeply into conspiracy theories. But great thread!
-------------------------------------------------
Thread: The Law (full text) - Frederick Bastiat's Masterpiece
Member: yongrel

Grade: A+

Comment: This thread establishes a positive testimonial for the Dr. Ron Paul Revolution. It also presents a book about the primitive politics in Europe when compared to the superior system in the United States. Great job!
--------------------------------------------------
Thread: Why Borders Are Stupid! ( 1 2 3 ... Last Page)
Member: rational thinker

Grade: A

Comment: This thread isolates one of the most important issues in American politics today. As Hillary Clinton might say: "To end the war, we shouldn't talk about the war but about the Mexican invasion coming across our southern border. Vote for the zebra! Vote for change! Vote for Obama!" Great thread!
----------------------------------------------------
Thread: Poll: Coercion and Global Warming ( 1 2)
Member: mediahasyou

Grade: C

Comment: Very poor polling. Right off the bat forum members singled out the weakness in this thread. This thread really suck in that a naive political reporter from CNN would most certainly recognize the poor effort put in creating an unbiased poll. But great thread!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
*New grading system:

A = C
B = B
C = A

*An "A" grade is a "C" unless it makes you unhappy in which case it reverts back to an "A". In an effort to keep all forum members happy, I don't give out any B's.

Thread: Grading the Threads II.

Grade: B

Comment: This thread puts forth at least some perceived effort. It's a shame, really...

Edit: Grade changed to match the point system and the rolling around on the floor that came about from "I tried this grading process on my son the other night by placing a gold star on his forehead after he spoke favorably about Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt.".

Grade: F

The clock is ticking on the great effort that will be necessary to get the media to behave themselves 2 & 4 years from now. I will agree that this effort won't be as interesting as twiddling our thumbs.

I thought and truly hoped that you were/are "IGNORING" me, just like you said you were. :rolleyes: DARN! :p

How about now kicking my thread GRADE up by a couple of letters? Or not. <shrug>

Sometime my system ingores you while sometimes it doesn't. I'm just along for the ride.
I did change my grading system out of respect for the behavioral scientist's who support Dr. Ron Paul. I know Dr. Ron Paul would never spank a baby having delivered so many of them so we should burdened ourselves with the theory of positive reinforcement. Besides, we are all precious babies deep inside. Therefore, I developed a new grading system:

A = C
B = B
C = A

I don't give b's.
