Like, if we didn't have to recite the Pledge in school anymore? Not just the "Under God" part, but at all?

Probably nothing.

Probably nothing.

I think we should try it. Just to see.

Are there any Ron Paul Republicans (or any other party) in a State office?

I think our children would become terrorists.

Saying the pledge teaches them respect for themselves, and all Americans. This is why my generation has the strong moral and patriotic backbone we are known for.

But it's still played over the P.A. systems. I'm talking about not having it played at all.

I think Bin Laden would make himself known, and then he would start a pot revolution to take down the government because pot is bad for our children, and if they smoke it too much, they become disoriented and too free-minded, then they die.

Simple.

They haven't done the pledge at schools here for many years. I never even heard it after elementary.

I don't see any link between kids saying the pledge and kids growing up to be statists. It would be an interesting academic study nonetheless.

The "government" school "statist brainwash programming" begins very early, long BEFORE the age of reason. :(

"What would happen if we didn't have to "Pledge Allegiance" Anymore?"

I would be happy at people not pledging their allegiance to our fictional state.

Sure we are. There are policies all over the place and teachers/principles who force students to stand and recite the pledge - http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2008/05/09/pledgesuspension/

I was once forced to stand and say it and when I said I wouldn't I was threatened with having to go to the principle.

If we didn't say the Pledge of Allegiance there would be anarchy. Almost instantly. It is only the hypnotic effect of the neurolinguistic programming contained within the pledge that keeps us subservient. Without it, the people would rise up and kill all the bankers, politicians, CFR members and other elite ruling class scum.
