America is the first country to specifically enact a provision protecting the right of individuals to bear arms that is recognized by the government.

It is often argued that Switzerland does this as well but this is conscription, so this doesn't really count.

This is going to be some 4th of July!:D

PS, this doesn't take away the fact that rights are preexisting and we also have the right to jury nullification. The only reason it is exciting is because the government admits we have this preexisting right.

People wake up and read the ruling. It was very anti second amendment. Licensing and regulations are going to get so strict that there will be a ban on guns without being an official ban on guns. It left open any restriction at all as long as they feel it is reasonable.

I did say that regardless of how the Supreme Court rules, we still have the right to bear arms and it gets enforced through juries.

The supreme court just ruled that the government has the power to limit your rights, even the ones specifically laid out in the bill of rights as untouchable by the government. If you think this is going to be confined to the 2nd amendment, then you have way more faith the in government than I.
