This is where the action is at. This spot here is all about Ron Paul.

Liberty Forest, just to the south of us, has specifics, mainly policies, and theories. Feel free to check it out.

Oh and if you are in a humorous mood, check out Hot Topics and Feedback. Always good stuff in there.:D

It's acceptable to have this sort of junk as newbiespew™, yet if someone is afraid of, oh I don't know, Neo-liberalism, they are attacked and inevitably banned?

Is the yellow stuff on the windshield so thick that we forgot it was pollen?

Welcome to the forum :)

FYI- this place is a big tent and we have our share of inconsiderate buffooons, as you might have noticed...

There is a handy "ignore" feature. Just click on the name any offensive poster, go to their profile, and look for the "add to ignore list" button...

The world is not going to end because of the nanny-state. I wouldn't react as such if the OP was complaining about anything else other than non-threatening and minor events.

Isn't there an asteroid with a 234436434 to 1 chance of impact?

Since when has the forum members shown any reservation or respect? Are we suddenly going to change because it looks like we just welcomed another customary member of the conformist Neo-liberal agenda to the fold?

I've shown respect, and when I went awry I apologized and took it to heart, remember?

Anyway, back on thread topic. I am hear to talk about what would probably happen if someone like Ron Paul, or Bob Barr won't be elected. I don't like Obama, nor do I like McCain, because of their similar foreign policy and how they won't address something so important like what the Federal Reserve is doing. Anyway, since our so-called "movement" is going to be around for a while and since were gaining more support everyday. Will we ever influence an election? Everyone seems to be ignoring us,sadly Ron only got like %10 of the vote each times, or somewhere around there. I'm not here to get flamed ,or to flame. I'm here to learn, and have fun doing it. It's fun to talk to people who are into the same candidate is me. I looked around and found this place, so please don't flame me and control your anger instead of whining and to tell me to "grow up." I thought we Ron Paul supporters are the minority compared to Obama and McCain, so we can't be fighting each other for such little things.

Regarding the original post, I'm pretty upset about the apparent direction of the nation and the world in general myself. Ya know what helps?? Learn about survivalism and self sufficiancy. try growing your own edible fruits and veggies if you have the land. learn about animal husbandry, prepare yourself for the absulute worst cas scenario, and the million more likely, and less horrific possiblities will not be so intimidating. Take some time out every day and run through a scenario in your head, where you are hungry, and wet, and cold, and there is no releif for you other than to terrorize your neighbors and take their goods. discover within yourself, are you willing to do the things animals do to survive in the wild??

If your anything like me you'll find that its the world that should be scared of you if things go horribly wrong.

I'd also have to say, it is very worthwhile to take time in your teen years to discover who you are. To take seriously that period of self-introspection that accompanies people's teen years. Discover what you believe, discover your capacity to search for the truth, and discover that unbreakable core within your being that can bring you through any hardship.

First, please keep in mind that not all people here are who they claim to be... (and no, Kade, I don't mean you ;))

As you mention, we are gaining support everyday. We are being ignored and marginalized by a few groups with disproportional power, but we are making headway and have influenced elections already. Most of the candidates have copied something, or other, of RPs "platform" and we hear discussions of things that were rarely discussed before. We have a decent chance of getting BJ Lawson elected to congress and are encouraging many to run for local seats.

Additionally, a large voter migration to the various third parties will send a messege and set a precedent.

Finally, the way I usually got the best response regarding the FED is to start the conversation with a mention that it is our nations third attempt at a central bank. I then go into how the first two attempts were deemed failures and this present one is, also.

There's approximately 5,243,239 threads on that very topic here, if you use the search button above you'll see that most of us here are split evenly between voting for Barr or Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. Many of us are writing-in as well, with a few here promoting not voting. There are options, none of them perfect.

The "nanny" state is a term you folks seem to respond to... albeit, without any real definition. Flaming, insulting, or any other form of negative comment is not censorship. If your definition of censorship invokes those things, you got ripped at grammar school, home, or whichever system attempted to educate you.
