Both Chris Lien and Joel Dykstra -- the Republican Party nomanies for us house and Senate, are actively seeking the Ron Paul people out to find out what they have to do to get the kind of energetic volentiers Ron Paul Had. Apparently our 17% impressed the party bosses enough that they realized they better start listening to us if they don't want to start loosing safe races too -- being that the Democrats are increasing voter registration enrolements 8 times as fast as Republicans are.

We were also the swing vote in a hotly contested election for the next National Committeeman.

We got an anti "real ID" resolution passed.

Overall, the party in this state has been very open.

The normal rank and file delegates agreed with us that the NRC has completely let us down. These people are on our side -- they just don't know it yet.

Less then 120 out of 425 delegates actually showed up. Being that there's THOUSANDS of precinct committeeman positions across the state, it shouldn't be hard for us to find LibertyMinded people and get them involved.

2 years from now we could easily have a 2/3rds majority -- if we work hard at filling those slots.

I'm exhausted now, and am going to bed, but more later. We made a lot of inroads.

This is encouraging.

I learned somewhere along the line that for every customer complaint a company receives, there are at least three other silent complainers who will never return to use the company's service. If that carries over to politics (and that statistic is OLD, from the 70s or 80s), that could mean that a lot of people simply will not SHOW UP--not in November and maybe not the next time the local and state GOPs conduct business.

I wouldn't be so quick about that, we'll need every thumper that we can get to defeat the neocons. if the religious right can be made to realize that the neocons have used them to retain control while denigrating them behind their backs, that will be more power to the movement. otherwise, languish in the doldrums while the neocons continue to rage.

the thumpers are not neocons. they just have been siding with the neocons in order to get their way (they think!) on abortion and protection from the "terrrists". they also think by supporting Bush they are supporting a Christian. if the thumpers can be forced to realize that the neocons have been taking advantage of them for political power and not producing anything of merit on abortion and the war is a fraud, and Bush hasn't been acting in a Christian way, their support of the neocons will melt away.
