Are they just out of stock, or are they refusing to stock it?

The only reason I bought my copy at Barnes and Noble was because I had a $25 gift card laying around unused.

If I didn't I would have without question bought it on Amazon because it's so much cheaper than the crooked bookstores

The person I spoke to specifically said. "We do not carry it"

You should have said, "How do you not carry something that's been on the NYT best-seller list for 6 weeks?"

The answer I got was, snotttily, "Borders has it's OWN bestseller list". :p

And how does one's work land onto this bestseller list when it's not even available for sale at all?!

Just don't buy squat from 'em. If they don't want to make money, then let 'em dig their own grave.

Still in the top 10~!

Are they out and on Back Order?

Ask them you want it and to order it for you since it's on the NYT top 10 best seller.

record their excuses... then

The Barnes and Noble in Boynton Beach, Florida had a few copies.

If it's anything like the gorcery business, i means that the publisher has to pay Borders for the shelf space. So, no cash, no carry.

I think that's why Paul's book isn't up front in other stores. I strongly suspect those are paid placements.
