This is the wrong question. The real question is where is the government authorized to run up a 10 trillion dollar debt? Where does it say it can tax and waste money? Where does it say it can tax and not spend money? Where does it say it can tax for the sole reason of every American paying their fair share? Where does it say that can enact a 50,000 tax code? Where does it say in the Constitution that the Supreme Court can uphold all these tax and spending abuses? Where does it say that the government can compel people to pay off the debts that were created by wasteful and unconstituional spending?Where does it say the government is not prohibited to do these things under the ninth amendment? These are the real questions.

Well if we didn't pay income taxes they wouldn't be able to collect the interest on the loans for all those debts.

Nip it in the bud.

That is also prohibited under the Constitution under the ninth amendment and also is not authorized under any of the enumerated powers includng the 16th amendment.

Maybe a bill could be passed that makes it mandatory to balance the budget. Not sure how simple that would be to do BUT there are too many smart people in this country for it not to be possible.

If you don't like the law, change it don't yell at it.

Ron Paul and Aaron Russo had a published conversation about the income tax law ( so called ).

Google video is where I saw it last. You need to type in the actual videos name and you can locate the interview within in. I think it was endgame or one of those...

Maybe in "America: Freedom to Fascism"? The one I saw was a web print transcript for something or other.

Thanks! :)

An even better question would be, "Should the federal government levy taxes on its citizens' personal incomes?"

Define "income." Or "personal incomes."

Define "income." Or "personal incomes."

I would define it as "wages earned for goods and services intended for personal use and gain, as in investments, charity, savings."

Are you talking about non-governmentally connected investments and the common use definition of "wages"?

"If you don't like the law, change it don't yell at it."

The Constitution prohibits everything I said so it is the government that should change the law so they can be permitted under the Constitution to pass unbalanced budgets. The Constitution is about what the government can and cannot do.

What's your point?

Even if income could be taxed , the 16th amendment doesn't change the prohibition under the ninth amendment for the tax to pay for unconstitutional programs, or wasteful programs, and it doesn't say in the Constitution that the Supreme Court has the power to uphold these actions. Therefore universal income taxes are illegal.

What's your point?

If you were to answer in the affirmative, then we're talking about receipts that aren't currently the subject of the income tax.

Ask Joe Banister, Former IRS Agent, what law requires it, he asked them directly and they wouldn't (couldn't) give him an answer.

Well, yes I did. The little smiley face I put right next to my post should have been a valuable clue that I wasn't being completely serious.
