View Full Version : CFL Apparel, new Logo design!!!!

What we need is some snazzy logo design, and apparel for the Campaign for Freedom/website.

Just like we had for the presidential bid (revol3ution), someone needs to help design a logo for the CFL, maybe something with an eagle, or some other symbol, and the logo can be used on nice white shirts, collared, or non-collared, sweaters, hats, etc, etc.

I think if someone takes off on this idea, or maybe we can hold a contest for who does the best design, and once we have some winning designs shoot it over the CFL for approval, and add that to the website. It will bring in more donation money, and revenue and I know it will sell like hotcakes. I would proudly wear any shirts with a nice logo symbolizing what this movement stands for. Freedom/Prosperity/Peace!!.

Ok, throw some ideas out there. I can help with the logo design, etc. as I've been around the design field for a long time.

Peace!

hopefully CFL will have a store so that we can buy stuff and represent and so that CFL can have some money for its ventures.

I suspect I will be jumped on for this, but I hope it isn't all tagged with Ron Paul. It should have been called just the Campaign for Liberty, or perhaps the American Campaign for Liberty. You want to create a fresh brand with this kind of thing. Attaching a failed presidential candidate to it doesn't help.

And don't use things that will turn people off, like "R3VOLUTION". People don't want to be part of a revolution. Being part of a "campaign for liberty" is more palatable to most people.

What's the significance of the blue circle? :confused:

If it was red, it would be the Japanese flag.

I wanna see the statue of liberty in there, the colonial flag, maybe a little gadsen, goddess of justice and maybe an eagle for good measure...

How about just a pic of the Statue of Liberty? If there's too much clutter, it doesn't make for a very good flag :(

New logo designs are already on their way from the CfL itself.

You might want to hold off on that, because for all we know, the Statue of Liberty might get sold off to pay off the deficit.

I wonder how much the raw materials in it are worth now. Can't be too much since it's all oxidized, right?

As long as we don't jump at the first design and scream it's "MARVELOUS" as the logo needs to be exceptional. That sometimes takes some time and revision. :D

As to taking Ron Paul's name from the logo I also agree 1000%. As he's said time and again it's not his revolution it's everyones who participates.

The Statue of Liberty was restored in the mid 1980's so the copper content on the old lady would be worth thousands. My recession business is in auto salvage and a big truck radiator brings about $100 in copper at the scrap yard.

It represents the entire earth. America is just a starting point for CFL. We'll be using the Internet to organize politics. We'll show the world how it's done, and they'll emulate us. Eventually we'll all be one people. We need a symbol of that.

How about something like this?

Liberty = Torch from the Statue of Liberty
Freedom= Chains broken by liberty
Justice= Scales, hinged on liberty

Just a mock up, can be simplified or complicated to fit the scenario- less detail for an everyday logo, more detail for a poster or t-shirt or something.

She would be worth about $660,000 in scrap.

200,000 lbs. copper @ $3.25/lb.
125 tons steel @ $85/ton

Not bad at all. I like it, but the white gradient-fade there might be hard to duplicate on a t-shirt. Can you try to work with this logo some more, the idea of a rising sun/ dawning of a new age seems like a great idea actually. Maybe make it more apparent that is what it is, a rising sun? Just a thought

Ohh no, didn't realize that logo was ripped off. Seems like nobody has any fresh ideas. That Obama logo reeks of a strange socialistic utopia. I think we need to aim for a simple design. How about an eagle carrying a CFL flag on one side, and something else on the other, some symbol for peace... I like the idea of a "crest" type logo also, or seal... Need to get more people involved with ideas.

It's nice, although it might be a bit hard to read and see the small details in your design if it was a 2"x1" type scale on a t-shirt.

Any other design ideas, anyone? We only have a few submissions. Thought this thread would take off... :cool:

I don't see what's wrong with differing types of materials. The people who understand it as a revolution will be more likely to wear the materials and talk about it. I'd imagine it's much more effective with certain age groups.

I'll wear whatever materials I can get my hands on. If anyone really wants to soften it up, one of those ribbon type stickers will work for the "I care because I have a sticker" crowd. As much as I personally dislike them, they're 100% non-threatening if that's what you're going for.
