Today is Magna Carta Day (Sunday 15th June). It is a day to celebrate Civil Liberties, initiated by the Magna Carta, but hard fought for at many stages in history.
Today we face the world countries fast turning into Big Brother states, clamping down on dissent and using technology to achieve their ends. We have a
Western world following an American mission to 'police the world'. There is no other country slavishy following 'Pax Americana' than Britain.
However the emergence of the ex-Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul fighting for the values of Patriotism, liberty and non-intervention has been a revelation. Some of the world now knows that not all of America backs Bush, the neo-cons, bankers or shadowy 'bureacrats'. We welcome Dr Paul's latest intiative www.campaignforliberty.com/ (http://www.campaignforliberty.com/) and hope it will prosper. Hopefully it will reach out to the U.K and elsewhere.
