It kinda hit me this weekend at the TX convention that it doesn't take a whole heck of a lot to get on the electoral college...the 538 people who vote for the president.

I sat in a room of about 50 people who voted for our electoral college representative for our congressional district. That's about 15k people (not exact math...just a guesstimate) who could get the right people into the electoral college to vote for whomever they want.

Just found it interesting...of course, it might not work the same in every state.

The people in Iowa and New Hampshire have an amazing amount of power early in the elections as well. They sent Guiliani packing.
