Guys, Oklahoma is the hardest state to get on the ballot. This sounds cool, but they are apparently anti-democracy and pro-two-party-garbage. For this fact alone, I cannot cheer for the state.

This is what you call close-minded. Just because you disagree on the most minor of minor issues, doesn't make someone unworthy of your support. Oklahoma has done a brave and valiant thing, and I will support her.

Bah! I'm just saying, this state isn't that great. I heard somebody from a third party was in tears because she couldn't help her campaign get on the ticket... the deadline for the state was today I beleive (or maybe a month from today)... impossible task.

Not very many states are very 'great' but this is a start, and we should do our DUTY as the People to let our 'representatives' know how we feel about our rights, our Sovereignty, and our 10th amendment.

At least send some emails.

Oklahoma sure isn't perfect, but I believe they have the only other Congressman who received a 100% positive voting record from the JBS. (Ron Paul being the other one). This last year, they also passed legislation that stopped freebies for the illegal aliens and guess what.... they left in DROVES.

Now this. My home state is looking better and better. Some day, I might have to move back. :)

Yeah, that's too bad and all. All the more reason why we have to take back the Republican party. We can bitch and moan about it all day, but for right now, we have a 2 party system and both of them are controlled by socialist one-worlders. The GOP is ripe for the pluckin'. ;)

Oklahoma sucks...they are pro-two party system...it is the hardest state to get ballot access for a third party candidate...in 2004 Oklahomans could only vote for a Republican or Democrat...third party candidates did not make it...write-ins were not allowed.

3rd parties ain't going to have a chance. Not until we change some things.

As far as "sucking" goes... you tell me another state who has passed legislation like they have to declare sovereignty and to stop the handouts to illegal aliens.

Very occasionally Oklahoma's politics produces a pearl. The vast majority of the time it's worse than the usual cesspool and the only bright spot is that Oklahoma is neither populous nor rich enough to make the crooks filthy, stinking rich.

Hundreds of Inhofes, the occasional Will Rogers. In any case, very resistant to being stuffed in a mold.

I think to state that another civil war is on the rise is quite an exaggeration. It's nothing close to that.

well i wouldn't get the champagne out yet.... this is mostly about the tremendous immigration problem in oklahoma... as the border areas get more and more dangerous the illegals have been migrating more and more into oklahoma. a recent law was passed to deport illegals pulled over in traffic stops.. when that law passed a mass movement of illegals started under way... when school started last year a VERY large percentage of the hispanic and latino kids never showed up for school. the schools were knocking on doors for weeks trying to find these kids and then finally realized that their parents took off since tulsa passed this law..

Oklahoma has some really really messed up state laws... for example, a friend of mine got pulled over there was a joint roach in the ashtray with two seeds and some stems (pot) and she got arrested, bonded out ($500) went to court, got a $300 fine and 5 days in jail

i could fill a comp book on examples of the OK laws being EFFED UP!!!

im very excited about this step in the right direction don't get me wrong... but oklahoma being the next free state is about as likely as mccain picking hillary as his running mate :)
