OK, I'm sure Nadar would be better than Obama or McCain... but why would he ever try to cover up the fact that there a two candidates (Barr, Baldwin) who are much closer to what we beleive and who are not socialists.

^Get a grip. I hate when people try to start bashing this guy. As a consumer advocate he's saved thousands of lives. Ralph Nader has done a lot of great things for the United States of America, just because you don't agree with his politics doesn't make him an idiot. Otherwise, why don't you run for President, big shot.

Barr, but we all know noone has a record like Paul, getting outvoted 435-1 or so at times. "There is no substitute" for the real thing. They all want Pauls dance but are going to come up without a date. I like Pauls idea, start beating them locally, then statewide, then national. 50k people signed up so far for Liberty campaign and I would love to see the first race where a majority would send in 5 bucks to some mayors race (250k) to kick out a good old boy for an RP Republican. It would be hillarious in the local news if someone was able to raise money nationally to boot out some hack. Heck I'd send 100.00 if 50k others did for a governors race like Texas to boot Perry and I live nowhere near there. 5 million to beat the twerp would be all too funny.

I'm just glad he got those unsafe cars off the market before I bought one. I was reading consumer magazines and of how unsafe they were which made me want to buy one.

With hindsight, that probably wasn't the most smartest idea. I'm glad Mr. Nadar thought for me. He is a smart man.

Perhaps individuals on this forum could persuade Mr. Nader to adopt a position against the federal reserve. Being that he is against "corporate welfare", perhaps he could also lend a voice against this form of "government welfare". Trade and friendship with all, alliances with none.

People on this forum are starting to get like fucking NAZIs about this movement. If it isn't exactly perfect, they want to exterminate it.

I like Nader because he goes straight to the source of the problem: Corporations. They are the ones running the show, the politicians are puppets. If you understand that, you'll see that people like Nader are actually on our side.

Excellent. Nazis! Damn, I bet you thought that attack through, huh? How are we like Nazis?

Corporations are only a problem because of our overpowered and secretive government. THAT is the root of all evils.

Very good! ;)

I grew up with them, and I'm still here (maybe that's a bad thing for Nader though).

YEAH!! Just the policies he believes in are idiotic! You know, the ones he promotes and expounds, the ones that make up his every fiber. Those are idiotic...not him....

Not really.

"The freedom message brings us together" -Ron Paul-

For the record - I am as libertarian minded as they come but I have a lot of respect for Ralph Nader...

What is libertarian about Nader?

What is libertarian about Nader?

I wouldn't call him libertarian but he is against corporate corruption and our foreign policy of war.

I'm thinking of supporting him only because I would like to see him debate McCain and Obama on TV.

Could it possibly be because he is campaigning on his own behalf, and not for Barr or Baldwin?

Don't hate the man for seeking our votes. Hell, by doing so he's being much more respectful than the D or R parties.

Nader is, at least, respectfully seeking to be heard. One can't say the same with Obama (who just assumes we'll support him from having no other choice), or McCain--who hasn't reached out at all. Nader doesn't match up with us economically, but he can't be faulted much for civil liberties and foreign policy. Like Dr. Paul, he's been preaching noninterventionism when it was even less popular. His main quirk is his enduring support of the UN, which the left mysteriously sees as a legit world body.
