I am saddened to report the death of Eric Davenport. A fellow meetup member and a great human being, his life was cut short by a traffic accident on Saturday night. Anyone who spent time in the Ron Paul office, knew Eric and his wife Dani, because of the countless hours they put in. As the arrangements are made I will post the information for all those wishing to pay their respects.

Anyone wishing to send their condolences to Mrs. Davenport or wanting to help out with the cost..Here is her mailing address

Danielle Davenport
18731 SW 344 Terrace
Florida City, FL 33034

If you happen to be part of any other meetup group please pass this news and information on to others. We are all family, and any help that Dani can receive would be greatly appreciated at this time.

bump for one of our own.

stuff like this really reminds me that most of us have found more than just a cause with our involvement in this movement. i personally have aquired a family that im unable to have with my own family, a group of friends like none i have ever had. and a support network that you couldn't find in any other group of "strangers"

i love u guys :)

I was also surprised about that. The good part is that we've already raised $115 for her, trolls be damned.

Bumping is more effective, let it ride the board for a day or so, IMHO

By the way, I goofed up on the date for how long I'll keep this up. I intended for it to be one week and plan on sending it to Danielle at that point.

Sorry, never set up a Chip-In before.

I got it from a post by Dr. Knows: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=142881&page=4 from Danielle's MySpace page.

If I could change the title, I'd modify it to indicate that he was a RP supporter.

It's easy...click where it says edit on the first thread

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showpost.php?p=1515259&postcount=1

Then click on the "go advanced" button and add the words "Ron Paul supporter" to the title

Eric was so young. We need to give this family our support. That is what the movement is also about...helping each other and keeping the government out.
Thanks Amy...for your concern and for doing this.

I didn't have any luck finding some sort of group e-card. Anyone have any bright ideas?

I have pretty much stopped opening e-cards in general. Spammers and virus writers are using them to try to infect your computer a lot nowadays. This might be an occasion where snail mail would come in handy.

That would certainly be better than an e-anything, but I was thinking that since it's from all of us, I wanted to figure out a way to include messages from anyone who wanted to send one.

I'll keep it stewing on ye olde back burners.

Ok, I went to the supermarket, bought Danielle a sympathy greeting card, wrote in the greeting card about how RonPaulForums members feel and want to help, invited her to come here so she can read what all of you have said and printed out the chip-in so she knows that help is on the way...and I sent all of that plus a donation check via postal mail to Danielle at her Florida City, FL address

Anyone want to do the same?
