Even at his best, Barack Obama never generated the kind of enthusiasm that Ron Paul did. Oh, he had large numbers at many of his events, but how many of those people did you see tirelessly putting forth the grassroots effort that we did? Obama is running on a campaign of "change". Is he proposing the kind of change that causes people to stand on street corners and wave signs at passing cars? I haven't seen any.
And what about John McCain? Heck, even the Huckster had more appeal than McCain. So how did McCain end up being the presumptive nominee? This past Tuesday, we held a primary here in SC for state and local elections. South Carolinians were very anxious to demonstrate their disgust with Senator Linsday Graham (John McCain's partner in crime on many bills including amnesty). Well guess what? Graham got 70% of the vote to his Republican opponent. Did everyone suddenly decide that the status-quo wasn't so bad after all?
I don't think so.
