I would like to go, so far I've not been able to see RP in person and that's looking like my last chance.

I'll be checking out possibilities for transportation, a room and I'm assuming I'll need a ticket as well.

That's the rally for which I'm pinching pennies. There will be a lot of space between July and September in which Murdoch and the Press can ignore the concept of liberty. We need to steal some of The Establishment's thunder!

I am excited there are a few months to save up for the trip. We will be coming from California and hope we can locate hotel rooms during this time though... A little worried about that part to be honest BUT if needed we can commute in a rental.

Nice.

I might be walking across several states to get there, depending on how some bidness goes down. :)

What part of PA? Might be able to combine efforts.

I'm in Central PA (near Harrisburg) but haven't decided if I'm doing the road thing or the flying thing...waiting on a friend of mine to get back to me...

I think most of the hotels are booked up during the convention at this point. But it could be good for local Ron Paul supporters.

I haven't decided either how I'll get there. Might drive, but I have a pretty small car. It's a 14hr drive from here, about 850 miles. That's quite a haul.

For those who aren't familiar with the West, don't be afraid to book up to a good hundred miles out of town. Getting that far is definitely quicker than you'd think from driving that far in, say, Connecticut.

That will probably be one of the better options--I was just looking at what people are charging to rent places out for a couple of nights--big money!!

I'll probably look into places far outside town if necessary.

If you go to St. Paul, you'll be about 20 miles away from the gig. The RNC is in St. Paul, but Dr. Paul is having his rally at the Williams Arena at the University which is in Minneapolis. Make sure you go to the right place :)

I am trying to see what I can do in order to attend. Does anyone from the area know the situation in regards to local campgrounds/hostels? I suppose if it comes down to it I could always crash for a few hours in the airport.
