I take a lot of online surveys and every once in a while I get sent a political one. If anyone is interested, I'm doing one right now and would love to give RP supporters a loud and clear voice.

Here is the present question:

These days, a lot of voters are frustrated with BOTH parties, and many voters think this is a good year to send them a message. Below, we'd like you to tell us what you think that message should be. What are they doing right and what are they doing wrong?

Please be constructive in such a way that both parties can use this advice to make their parties and this country better.

Tell us one thing you think that Republicans are doing really well.

Ok, well, here's how I answered that one:

On a Federal level? Hmmm... Obfuscating truth, dismantling the Constitution, creating a police state, spreading paranoia and fear, pandering to the Christian right and completely alienating conservatives. Unless you consider Ron Paul's influence. There are few Republicans who seem to grasp the concept that freedom and liberty are fundamental American values. Republicans need to follow Ron Paul's lead.On the state level, Republicans in Vermont, aside from the Barre caucuses, are doing a great job of working across the aisle with Democrats to create a socialist paradise which is completely hostile to any kind of business development. On the local level, as I mentioned, the Barre caucuses are really phenomenal people who have common sense and are truly conservative in their approach to business and economic issues, particularly in their attempts to keep taxes as low as they can.

Next question: Tell us one thing you think the Republicans are doing poorly.

Bah! No help? I'm not going to keep asking since no one's interested but thanks anyway.
