Here's the latest....be at the convention on June 28th! There's work to be done.

June 12, 2008

"Now what about the Republican Convention in St. Paul? Our delegates
will attend, of course, and I expect our contingent to have a visible presence
there. Without disruption, we will do whatever we can to influence the party
and its platform, and return the GOP to its limited-government roots.
This is very important."
~Ron Paul

Dear Fellow Patriots,

Most of you have probably heard the news that Ron Paul has closed down his
Presidential Campaign Committee. In reality, the campaign has been dormant for
months, and this announcement is only a formality.

What does this mean to us Ron Paul supporters in Nevada? While we may be
disappointed, shocked, or upset, we must realize that this announcement does not change our goals, our mission, or the task we have before us. The formal campaign is closed, but Ron Paul still could be President.

We are currently embroiled in a battle for our delegates from the State
Convention. Delegates selected by the people on January 19th at the caucus and then the counties to represent them at the State Convention had their voices squelched and their rights trampled on. This outrage affected not only Ron Paul supporters, but supporters of every candidate. In fact, this was an attack on everything these United States of America are supposed to stand for. This was an attack on representative government, and our voices as delegates were taken away with complete disregard for the delegates' rights and the rights of all the people the delegates were representing that day.

Is this fight- this fight for our rights as delegates- over because Ron Paul has
officially closed his campaign, making the reality of many months "official"? No, our
fight is not over, because our fight is about much more than Ron Paul and his campaign. Ron Paul himself has often said that his campaign was about much more than him. So, what was Ron Paul's campaign about? What is our fight here in Nevada about?

We are fighting for the democratic principles that our country was founded to
uphold. We are fighting for the same ideals the patriots fought for in 1776. This battle didn't start with Ron Paul's campaign, and it does not end with his campaign. The battle for Liberty and Freedom will only end if and when we, the patriots that are the safeguard of these principles, give up and stop fighting for them.

And we are not going to give up. We are not going to stop fighting for freedom.
We are the heirs of a great tradition of Liberty in this country. We will never let that go or turn traitor to those ideals that so many brave men and women have fought and died for throughout the years.

Here in Nevada, we have a unique opportunity to express the continuation of this
fight for Liberty. We are planning to call our stalled Convention out of recess on June 28th. After Ron Paul's announcement, the state party will probably think and hope that we will go away. On June 28th we have a chance to stand up and show them that we will never go away. The fight for Liberty is not won or lost on the decisions of one man or one political campaign. Our actions on the 28th will be a message not only to our state party "officials", but to the government itself and people around the country and the world. We have a right and a duty to complete the business of the Convention. We must continue the battle to send our delegates to the National Convention, where their voices
can be heard on a national stage. Ron Paul has delegates going to the National
Convention from many States, and Nevada delegates need to be there.

The fight for freedom has not ended. We are not going away or giving up. We
will not stop or back down when tyranny and corruption raise their ugly heads and threaten our freedom. It is our duty to continue this fight. Many people will be watching us, and we can hold up Liberty's torch for everyone to see. We have drawn our line in the sand, and we're standing there.

In Liberty,
Wayne Terhune and Family
