Olbermann gives the justice due to McInSanes horrendous "Not that important" remark regarding getting the troups home in the Today-Matt Lauer interview.

I could have kissed Olbermann.

Olbermann: McCain should know better

That's not enough, why doesn't he mention RP along the lines?

Awesome.

I really try to like Keith, but he's such a phony--he talks all this talk... then does nothing about it, just moves to the next story or segment or something.

He's quite a grandstander, invoking the names of dead soldiers like that. That's just piss-poor.

Exactly. I really like a lot of the stuff that Keith has had to say over the years (especially about/to Bush), but why the hell has he not mentioned Ron Paul even once?!

2 possible reasons:

1. He's a phony
2. His bosses tell him not to

Keith O. is Barak's Bitch...

But at least he brought up the CONSTITUTION on the comment of, "it would go badly in the war" by Supreme Court Justice Scalia.

Unbelievable comment by Justice Scalia... never mentioned the CONSTITUTION or upholding it. Just as bad as Dubya BUSH and shows the Corrupt 3rd branch of federal government. No more checks & balances with this Supreme Court.

Where the hell do these Judges and politicians get off calling themselves 'HONORABLE'?

Thanks anyway Kieth Olbermann... but you probably got all your teleprompters filled from the dialog here on Ron Paul Forums!

PLease do not misunderstand.

The only reason I passed this along is because he really tears into McInSane.

I have no other agenda with it and wish he were a Ron Paul supporter, but that is never going to happen. He is there to help Obama I suppose.

The more bad press McInSane gets, the better I like it. I will NEVER vote for him.
I will write in Ron Paul, vote for Baldwin or Barr, but NEVER, NEVER vote for that flip-flopping daily phony Republican traitor McInSane.

Actually, I think that part was VERY appropriate.

The names of those soldiers were the MOST RECENT men to die in Iraq. His point was that [albeit subtly made -- and apparently therefore missed by you] John McCain's "world of delusion" that Americans can stay in Iraq because they are NOT dying there... is utterly FALSE.

Just because most (all?) of the news channels and newspapers now completely ignore the ongoing fighting -- which is the fuel of McCain's delusion -- does not mean that soldiers have ceased to be killed and wounded.

And he ended by saying it was really ONLY the soldiers who serve in Iraq now, and most particularly those men (now unable to speak) and their friends, family and loved ones who could POSSIBLY have any right to say whether it was "important" or "not important."

I thought that was very respectFUL. Probably one of the ONLY respectful on-air listings of soldiers deaths I have seen or heard.

What has he said that makes him an idiot?

I like Keith. He stays out of economic issues, and sticks with civil liberties... You will have to provide me some proof.

I completeley disagree. Nobody stopped the Fox News Propaganda machine from being exploitive of emotion, and now after begging for years to stop, the liberals have decided to use it, with more intelligence. They abused the social engineering, and now it's about to come home to roost...

Because he's an ass. He passes off opinion as fact, and prides himself in his ability to prattle on endlessly to make a mediocre attack

I used to consider him an amusing sideshow, but as is the case with most progressive socialists, he got nasty and mean pretty quick.

When I saw him attack people who dared questioned public assistance for people that live better than 95% of us do, he lost all credibility with me. He's a shrill socialist shill, and our airwaves would be better off without him.

Sorry, but "Fox does it too!" isn't a valid excuse unless you're in the third grade.

I didn't say ban him, did I? I would absolutely support his right to be on the airwaves as long as there's a market for him to pander to.

Our country would be far better off if we didn't have an ill tempered prima donna washed up sportscaster telling us what to think and who to hate, but he certainly has a right to pander to the lazy and the bitter.

Pelosi's Fairness Doctrine is meant to silence people. I certainly don't agree with that. She's a Democrat, IIRC.

He is the only voice against Fox News on that prime hour... period. We ARE NOT better off without him.

He was the only one who spoke up in MSM about the war, in 2004, when it was still not entirely unpopular.

I agree with almost 99% of what Keith says, period, on my own, without any collective bullshit propaganda necessary.

For the same reason he's never mentioned him -- Olbermann is an authoritarian leftist shill for the Democratic Party. He's MSNBC's answer to Bill O'Reilly.

Authoritarian leftist? I would be choking back one of those chuckles reserved for late night comedy if I didn't already know you were dead serious....

Absolutely. He's an attack dog for the Democrat establishment. He's a corporate media counterpart to O'Reilly and Hannity.

Two sides of the same coin...

I don't agree with Olbermann about everything, but he's (rightly) been against the insane Iraq war all along.

Invoking the names of soldiers who have died for nothing makes his point more powerful- no one pays attention anymore if you say "13 soldiers died in Iraq last week", but if you say "SSG John Smith, from Lubbock Texas, school teacher, father of 3, and National Guardsman, was killed in Iraq", people pay attention- it makes the war seem more REAL.

As a soldier, I have no problem with using their names to demonstrate the utter waste of this idiotic war...
