Iowa's District Presidential Caucuses were to be tomorrow, June 13 in Des Moines and the State Convention would follow on Saturday June 14.

Due to extensive flooding all over Iowa, the Iowa GOP tonight decided to delay the conventions to July 11 and 12.

DON'T come to Des Moines for this weekend!

Someone else just pointed that out to me. I hadn't thought of it.

Iowans who are delegates to our state convention will have to double down for a huge turnout in St. Paul!

Uhg. I'm in Iowa.

That is a bad deal about having our convention during the march.

But, the floods are very bad.

Yikes. Having been flooded out of two houses, I can relate. This is bad.

Unless you would like to come and help sandbag. In that case, feel free! That's what I'll be doing this afternoon.

Authorities knew the aging levee near Birdland, a working-class, racially diverse neighborhood, was the weakest link among the city's levees. A 2003 Corps report called for nearly $10 million in improvements across Des Moines, but there wasn't enough federal money to do all the work.

Now, what was it that Ron Paul said....something about our bridges falling down while we build bridges in Iraq?
