I wish I paid attention in Mathmatics at school.... I fail the entire maths section which drags my IQ right down the pan but only because I haven't learnt maths properly!

That's why I hate IQ tests.. they're fine if everyone's learnt maths.... what about the poor b@stards like me who ace the rest of it but fail miserably because of the maths sections!

Back to the original topic: I'm curious about Dr. Paul's IQ as well. I think Son of Detroit's guess (130 - 140 range) seems pretty likely, but I would not be surprised to learn that it is even higher. :)

I believe application of intelligence is a higher measure of ability. Someone can have a really high IQ, but essentially do nothing their whole lives.

In this case, Ron is a very intelligent person! (I bet he's around 130)

I'll be truly geeky and say - on what scale? There are numerous accepted IQ scales.

130-140 on some would be 140-150 on others.

Also as an aside, you don't need high math skills for an IQ test. Typically IQ tests don't rely on 'learned' information. Being bad at jeopardy or trivial pursuit shouldn't have any effect on the outcome of an IQ test. If you see an IQ test that asks for the capital of a country, or asks you the first derivative of a function stop bothering, it's not a real test. With that said, I think Ron Paul has to have a higher IQ. Considering his age - with IQ drops normal in the later years - I'd say he's one smart cookie.

Well I'm thinking if you add Bush's IQ and McCains IQ and then maybe multiply how many years we've been in this stinking war you might have a IQ of about 135ish.
