ok kids! I don't know if i should vote for Big Bobby. i will do my own reading but for now i am much to fat and lazy and would like the fine patrons of this website to set me straight on the issues.

i would like to vote for Paul but i want the rest of the nation to see numbers so i am hoping we can all get behind some one (but not just anyone). someone who will respect my liberty and yours.

I would run but my back hurts and i have a head ache. Maybe next time.

His neocon voting record makes him unsupportable, regardless of his recent appeal to the RP movement.

Barr voted for the Patriot Act (twice) (http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=2001_record&docid=cr12oc01-115)
Barr voted for the Iraq war, and is now an accessory to killing over 1 million people (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2002/roll454.xml)
Barr voted for no child left behind (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2001-145)
Barr voted for the Iraq liberation act of 1998 (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h1998-482)
Barr voted for the $159 billion medicare prescription drug bill (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2000-357)
Barr voted for the Anti-Terrorism Act giving govt broadened surveillance powers (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2001-390)
Barr voted to create the Department of Homeland Security (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2002/roll475.xml)

the list goes on

And just like that he lost my vote.

And just like that he lost my vote.

Of course, he has technically "renounced" all of that on joining the Libertarian Party and pursuing the spot as their Presidential candidate.

And just like that he lost my vote.

He has changed his mind on many issues. Some issues he changed his mind years ago. Others are more recent converts. He changed his mind on DOMA at the LP convention because he was told he wouldn't get the nomination unless he changed his view on it. So, for that we have no idea if he is sincere. Also, issues like protectionist trade policies and the federal government overiding state and local governments when it comes to education, he has not said he has changed.

What it all comes down to is trust. I can't speak for anyone else, but if someone has that bad of a voting record, I'd like them to prove to me they have changed by doing more than just spouting rhetoric. This comes in form of acually being in office and proving to me that they have changed by voting that way. Of course people can change their minds on issues, but it all comes down to trust. This isn't one or two issues he has changed his mind on, its a whole host of them.

If you want to make a statement, either Barr or Baldwin will do.

Also, if you look at Barr's website, he is silent about issues like the federal reserve, sound money, getting rid of the Department of Education and other departments, the importance of homeschooling, and many more that Paul is proud to promote on his site (as well as Baldwin).

Ah, the refrain of all TRUE politicians... "Trust In Me":

You, exxxmaji , can have a twofer.

Vote for Barr and help Obama.

Obama gets us to bankruptcy the fastest. Bankruptcy sets the stage for trend reversal.

And Barr will help a few more voters realize that the voice of small government is not completely silenced.

We will not become bankrupt if fiscal responsibility is upheld. Something Democrats have a history of doing....

Who are you?

he's a recent shill/sellout/traitor for Obama....you should see what he is saying in the "will Obama pick Clark as his VP?" threat...you'll really see his true colors.

Either way, I'm not voting for Barr simply because of the reasons provided...I don't trust him in any way shape or form.

I'll either write in Paul's name or vote for Baldwin (haven't fully decided yet....however, if Paul endorses Baldwin, then I'll definitely vote for him).

I hope that everyone coalesces around Baldwin, personally...it'd be quite interesting to see the results.

I am not a traitor nor a sellout. I'm simply supporting the presidential candidate I think would be best for america. As Ron Paul is not running and Neither is Dennis Kucinich it is the man Kucinich endorsed.

I'm writing in Paul or Andrew Jackson! Say what you want about him, but there is no denying that duded was a badass who got shit done. He delayed the Civil War several decades and kept together the Union, he destroyed the 2nd Bank of America, and was the only president to ever have a balanced budget (where the myth Clinton gave a balanced budget came from I have no idea), and all the while was drinking calomel [lots o mercury] as medicine.

It wasn't a myth Clinton Balanced the budget. Clinton was an asshole, but give credit where credits due.

The unfunded liability of the baby-boom's retirement alone is $54 trillion. There has not been any fiscal responsibility in Washington DC in 100 years.
