View Full Version : Sorry, I've been away. Why is there a McCain ad at the bottom of threads?

google picks the ads not the mods. so mccain is throwing away money and he does not even know it.

Whatever you do, don't click on it unless you are genuinely interested in the product.

Clicking an ad gives money to a website from the advertiser, and when done with dubious intentions, is click fraud - A breach of contract not endorsed by Ronpaulforums.com, the staff, or Dr. Paul.

So don't do it.

Well, as a collective we all decided to support McCain.

Didn't we pass an amendment in here to do so? I believe it was unanimous. Correct me if i'm wrong...hehehe....

Don't you remember Ron Paul addressing his support to McCain yesterday? We all decided to ban together and support him. :)

The creator of the adsense account has the ability to block certain ads. So -- yes, they can control the ads we see.

who cares, let them waste money here. I'm not too worried that that ad will attract people who visit these forums;)

Dr. Paul wouldn't restrict your clicking freedom.

And why should Ronpaulforums.com breach a contract if they don't do the clicking? Why can't the people doing the clicking be the ones who are responsible for their actions?

Private property anyone? If when we registered with the forum there was a clause that said we couldnt commit "click fraud", then we cannot click on the ads for sake of running up the bill on someone. Otherwise, it's a free-for-all clicking bonanza!

Another reason why John McCain will get crushed in this election. I wonder where else his advertising dollars are being wasted.

Is it only the first time or do multiple clicks make a difference?

Speaking of these ads, I laugh every time I see the "Free Newt!" ad; it sounds like he's in jail!!

What's funny to me is that I never see any of those ads because I use the "small pink" version of the forums. You choose in your "options". :) NO ADS FOR ME. I am not suggesting we all change to this by the way. It's not for everyone.

That little experiment was a bit too "pink" for me, thank you...

And I think I may have clicked on my first ad today
