View Full Version : Ron Paul is Too Good of a Man to Allow Obama to Win

RP must know that McCaine has no chance at beating Obama.

I cannot see such a good and ethical man like Ron Paul allowing a socialist, big government guy like Obama in the highest office of the land. Surely RP must realize that even if he does not run and split the Republican votes, McCaine still has no chance.

When will RP run third party? I am convinced he will do it because of his conscience.

RP will not run third party.

Ron Paul won't run as third-party candidate (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23087158/)

Ron Paul says NO 3rd Party Run (http://www.dailypaul.com/node/35672)

not gonna happen.

Best chance at keeping obama out is if Jesse Ventura runs, imo.

He's the only 3rd party candidate who would actually potentially win, if he ran.

Barr has hope only to become a spoiler.

From a practical perspective, it's too late to get on the ballots nationwide as an independent, and the large third parties already have their candidates.

And he has stated as recently as 2 days ago at the FFF conference that he isn't going to run third party, along with hundreds of other times he has stated this.

For instance, in Texas, independents had to have filed by May 12, 2008 to appear on the Nov ballot.

This is so hard for me to accept. RP must realize that he is the ONLY candidate who has a chance at beating Obama. He must realize that while McCaine did better in the Republican primaries than RP, that he would do better than McCaine in a general election.

I just don't think RP is the quitter type to allow such a socialist into office...

It's not too late for Ron Paul to file as a write-in candidate.

He just said Friday at the Freedom Institute meeting that he wasn't running third party.

Ron Paul will no run third party cause he knows what's important is not who's president but the minds and heart of the people (public opinion is wha puts pressure on officials & companies to change their tactics)

As far as Obama goes, be glad it wasn't hillary, cause in comparison he's an avid capitalist

You got Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin to vote for, so vote for them, Ron Paul is a man of ideas, one of the greatest.

FOcus on the freaking congress, and local republicans/libertarian clubs

Ron Paul will never win third party... some of our tactics to build awareness have built too much of a negative opinion of Paul himself, despite the growing popularity of the IDEAS.

Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin, are fresh slates where we can campaign again without the mistakes we made before hand.

At this point I don't care which one of those two wins.

I'll laugh either way.

You'll be crying over the next 4 years.

The focus should be to continue pressing the freedom agenda throughout local and state conventions like we are doing now as well as enlightening and changing some people to our cause.

It is, of course, naive to believe that anyone other than one of the two major-party candidates will next be sitting in the oval office. And I expect that, barring some unforeseen event such as illness or major scandal, this race will be close. I believe that those expecting McCain to go down in flames, may have a surprise in store for them. As Paul supporters, it is sometimes hard for us to see beyond our own biases, but we are, after all, in the minority. The masses view this race from an entirely different perspective.

Nothing would please me more than to see Ron make an independent or third party run, as I would then have a candidate for whom I could cast my vote without compromise. Furthermore, although he would have no chance of winning, I believe he could make a very strong showing and, thus, send a clear message that true change was in the wings. But, as much as I'd hope for such a scenario, it ain't happening. When asked point blank if he will be on the Nov. ballot, his answer was an unequivocal "No". I take Ron at his word for this.

I consider myself a glass half-full person.

Will it suck to have McCain or Obama be this nation's next president? Sure.

But you know what? One of them is going to have to lose in November, and it's going to be hilarious.

The neocons or the socialist Obama-obsessors are going down in November. :D

OP is approaching troll type qualifications. Two posts on the same bullshit subject, that has been discussed repeatedly here with the same ending results. Get over it, it is not going to happen.

ItCOULD be that Ron Paul has a LOT more sense than you do, and he knows that 10% (at best ) showing when on the ballots in hte primaries would NOT translate to winning the general election in November.

Honestly...how far have you allowed yourself to slip away from reality, and do you ever plan on coming back? If not, you will never amount to anything in life and will never be a productive member of soiety. Ron Paul NEVER had a chance to win the preisdency. He knew that from day one. This was always about spreaing his message.

If you truly don't see that, then you need to prepare yourself for your 6th grade commencement next week. Time to grow up and accept reality for once in your life. Honestly...I have read a LOT of stupid shit on this board...mostly from A Ron Paul Rebel...but this is the dumbest thing ever. To think that he would beat Obama as a third party is absurd. Tell me..what over the past 5 months has given you the impression that over half the country would vote for him?

You are hurting yourself, your future, and Ron Paul with every sentence you utter. For your own sake, never speak again.

Well, considering I've already finished college, medical school, internship, residency, and fellowship I don't think I'll be attending a 6th grade commencement.

You need counseling.
