The 200-year-old Manhattan house that once belonged to founding father Alexander Hamilton moved a block away to a nearby park site Saturday.
The Federal style home, known as Hamilton Grange, traveled on a massive dolly from West 141st Street, down Convent Avenue to nearby St. Nicholas Park, where it will be restored to its original state.
Alexander Hamilton, the nation's first Secretary of the Treasury and founder of the New York Post, lived in the home for two years before he was killed in an 1804 duel with Aaron Burr.
