The Independent Political Report post I got this from. (http://www.independentpoliticalreport.com/2008/06/michigan-libertarian-convention-features-pair-of-contested-races-full-slate-of-congressional-and-statewide-candidates/)

Neil Stephenson of V Radio on www.revolutionbroadcasting.com (http://www.revolutionbroadcasting.com) is running for Congress in Michigan's 10th District. He is running on a "Gravel/Paul hybrid platform." The main aspect of Gravel's platform that he is taking is the idea of a national ballot initiative process, or the National Initiative for Democracy (http://www.ni4d.us, http://www.vote.org).

Neil was originally a Ron Paul supporter, and became a Gravel supporter for the Libertarian nomination. I'm not sure what he is now.

This is exciting news. This could be a serious victory for the Revolution and for Gravel's people (me included) if he gets elected. Even if he gains some ground here and runs again in 2010 for Congress or some other office, that would be good.

He is running as a Libertarian.

Thoughts?

Ross

No one even cares that a Ron Paul Libertarian is running?

No one even cares that a Ron Paul Libertarian is running?

Mike Gravel isn't a libertarian, and describing someone as a Mike Gravel hybrid ain't the way to convince me of their libertarian street cred.

No one even cares that a Ron Paul Libertarian is running?

Not only what Yongrel mentioned, but also, you have to realize that things here at RPFs have slowed way down...I think there are fewer than 100 members signed on right now...less than 3,000 active members remaining...

You may get more attention in the next few days...dunno...

So this fervent Ron Paul supporter doesn't meet the approval of yongrel because he also supported Mike Gravel for a separate nomination?

By the way, what's with these John McCain ads?...

That ain't what Yongrel said. Don't mischaracterize.

As far as John McCain ads, I don't know what you're talking about.

Are you seeing some google ads on the site here?

If so, those put money into the pocket of the forum owner.

Don't tell me you have a problem with capitalism. ;)

Well, what yongrel said really simplifies Neil's positions. So I guess we're even?

There are little John McCain video ad things that appear below every thread.

If you think about it, your assessment was probably a pretty simplified version, too...I'm sure there's more to the guy's stands than either post reflects.

I don't pay any attention to ads. They could be anti-mccain stuff for all I know.

If they're google ads, they're money.

If they're anti-mccain, they're principle.

Either way is fine with me.
