What do you think of writing something on dollar bills saying google Ron Paul or something else... Is this against the law?

I don't know.... The government "owns" coins, I'd assume the same for dollars, since they'd have to destroy and replace it with a new FRN.

With the popularity of www.wheresgeorge.com the issue of legality has hit the mainstream. As long as you don't completely deface the money it is legal. I have been stamping my money for over a year.

Just curious, anyone here supporting Ron Paul because they got a dollar stamped with "Ron Paul" on it? How about by seeing a Ron Paul sign? A bumper sticker? A T-Shirt? The blimp? A billboard? An ad on the radio?

I'm not being sarcastic... I'm really interested to know.

"Wow, when I saw the blimp I thought "Ron Who?" I decided I needed to take the advice on the blimp and look him up on google. So far I am totally amazed. This appears to be the candidate I was waiting for all my life, and a BLIMP TOLD ME ABOUT IT!"

It may annoy people and reinforce the notion that Ron Paul supporters are "disruptive". I am not sure the overall effect will be positive.

I can see Hank Hill damning our defacement of gov't property right now.

Putting Ron Paul info on dollar bills?

How about on checks?

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=138783

Does anyone have a check printing company, or know of one, that can pre-print checks, with Dr. Ron Paul / Constitution / Bill Of Rights on each check?

Maybe several different versions?

Quotes from the good doctor?

Excerpts from 'The Revolution: A Manifesto', and other books by Dr. Ron Paul?

Quotes from the Founding Fathers?

What if every Ron Paul supporter used them?

How many companies, clerks, banks would see these?

I believe it is time to 'Spread The Message!'

Unfortunately, the building was looted by Feds shortly after the Ron Paul money was minted, and all of their precious metals confiscated.

Nice info on the LIBERTY DOLLAR website:

The Federal Reserve is Privately Owned

How did it happen? After previous attempts to push the Federal Reserve Act through Congress, a "group of bankers" (they were members of the Round Table Group, which changed its name in 1920 to: THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS aka CFR) funded and staffed Woodrow Wilson's campaign for President. He had committed to sign this act. In 1913, Nelson Aldrich, a Senator, and the maternal grandfather to the Rockefellers, pushed the Federal Reserve Act through Congress just before Christmas when much of Congress was on vacation (Reference 3, 4, 5). When elected, Wilson passed the Federal Reserve Act. Later, Wilson remorsefully replied (referring to the FED), "I have unwittingly ruined my country"

His statement was not out of "remorse" - it was to avoid accountability, the man was a college professor with a PHD, he knew exactly what he was doing. Even if it had been "unwitting" He certainly made no effort to undue his destructive actions during his remaining 7 years in office, instead he continued passing the Round Tables agendas, a few of which were:

The Revenue Act of 1913 (income tax)

Federal Reserve Act of 1913

(Out of gratitude for his cooperation, Wilson appeared on the now-out of print (but still technically legal tender) $100,000 bill The bill was used only to transfer money between Federal Reserve banks)

The "Smith Lever" act of 1914

Federal Farm Loan Act of 1916

National Park Service Act of 1916

Jones Act of 1917

Espionage Act of 1917

Sedition Act of 1918

Created the League of Nations, which became the United Nations

Created "14 points" which was the foundation for creating the "European Union", which created the groundwork for "The New World Order"

Isn't there ongoing litigation?

I believe there is a civil lawsuit pending against the gov't on behalf of those who ordered coins and the owner, Bernard. As well, there are potential criminal lawsuits that may be filed against Bernard for "Debasing American currency" (Ha!).

Hence, he released the "arrest dollars" to help fight the legal battle(s).

I hadn't heard of those! So, we're probably not going to see the reemergence of the Ron Paul dollars any time soon?

Awesome! I guess I am not too original on this one...

What are the best phrases to use that are positive and not too pesky? I was thinking:

Keep this valuable vote Ron Paul

Google Ron Paul

(Over where it says federal reserve note) Where is the Gold? www.ronpaul2008.com

ronpaul2008.com

Youtube Ron Paul

Any suggestions?

It is technically illegal and it's also illegal to sell a stamp as ronpaulstamp.com does and encourage people to stamp money with it. This is why wheresgeorge.com had to stop doing that.

I found this:

United States Code
TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
PART I - CRIMES
CHAPTER 17 - COINS AND CURRENCY
§ 333. Mutilation of national bank obligations

“Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or
unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill,
draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking
association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System,
with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence
of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or
imprisoned not more than six months, or both.”

I've been doing this in "honor" of various politicians for years. The latest one was Howard Dean, who stiffed an Iowa sandwich shop for almost $1000 back in the '04 primaries.

http://www.whotv.com/Global/story.asp?S=1617677&nav=2HABKQq6

I use a stamp pad kit I got at an office supply place to stamp various pithy phrases on currency, tracing several of them on Wheresgeorge.com. Project "DEADBEAT DEAN DOLLAR" is documented here.

Yeah, good luck with enforcing that law. I see crap written on money all the time, people will just accept it when you give it to them. I could write a big "FUCK YOU!" on a dollar and someone would take it, guaranteed.

I don't know why you would ever want to "cement together" your FRNs!

I ordered a Ron Paul stamp and also made my own Ron Paul stamps at www.rubberstampandseal.com
I stamped probably close to a thousand bills with "Ron Paul for President, RonPaul2008.com"

I'm now stamping my dollars with "Chuck Baldwin for President, Baldwin2008.com"

I go to the bank with checks and money orders that I receive and get all ONE dollar bills for them. It's normally around $100 each time. So by November I'll probably have stamped another 1,000+ bills
