Just saw this, didn't know there was a national Ron Paul walk today. Anyone else doing this?

POLITICS: Ron Paul backers to hike to Ridgefield Sunday

Ron Paul supporters will walk approximately 11 miles Sunday from the War Memorial to the Danbury Mall to Ballard Park in Ridgefield in support of Congressman Ron Paul's candidacy for president.

Members will be parading with signs and handing out flyers, brochures and other materials supporting Mr. Paul’s “Freedom Message.” Congressman Paul is running for the Republican nomination for President.

Starting at noon, members of the Danbury Ron Paul Meetup Group will gather at the War Memorial in Rogers Park, Danbury, as part of a national, coordinated effort to walk, canvass, caravan and otherwise spread Congressman Paul's Freedom Message, said Richard Land of Ridgefield, a Paul supporter.

“Meetup Group members are not paid campaign workers,” Mr. Land said. “This nationally coordinated event is in no way created or financed by the Ron Paul 2008 election campaign. Participants are independent citizens who want to see the return of Constitutional government and the rule of law. This national day of activism was planned spontaneously in two weeks by Meetup Groups all over the nation.”

There are approximately 36,000 Ron Paul volunteers organized in 780 Meetup Groups in 640 cities across the nation in support of Congressman Paul's candidacy (http://ronpaul.meetup.com/about/). “This rapidly growing grassroots movement in support of Ron Paul is an entirely unprecedented phenomenon unique among the campaigns of all other candidates,” Mr. Land said. “Ron Paul supporters call it the ‘Ron Paul Revolution.’"
