The following message was written by Aaron Bolinger of the National Veterans Committee for Constitutional Affairs (http://www.nvcca.net/) and Restore The Republic (http://www.restoretherepublic.com/). It went out to activists throughout the state. Please pass this along to everyone you know in PA.

There are several NEW items of interest on the plate. (Like we don't have a smorgasboard already.) This will bring ya'all up to date. I know it is a long e-mail, but SHOW TIME is here -- hearings coming, budget battle in front of us, and even PRIVATE WATER RIGHTS are being destroyed. Follow the ball, and GET to the capitol! JIM NEEDS HELP IN HARRISBURG NOW!

HB 194
I received a call from Ms. Rhodes (staffer for Rep. Kortz) notifying me that her boss looked at and AGREED to come on as a co-sponsor for HB 194 (SSN subject). This was the result of ONE call I made to Rep. Kortz (the day of the Scranton hearing on Real ID).

MAKE SOME CALLS FOLKS -- it works!

REAL ID
Andy Hoover, (ACLU-PA) sent me this (for those in the Pitt. area):

“Fight fraud with national ID card” (http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/opinion/columnists/guests/s_569827.html) The writer assumes conservatives are on board with a national ID. You and I both know better. Here’s the link for letters to the editor:

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/opinion/letters/send/

Rep. Thomas has introduced the GUTTED version of HB 1351. Like his previous resolution that couldn't get any traction (because it was meaningless), we are working in Harrisburg to grind this one to dust as well. Pressure should be brought on the SPONSORS of Thomas' bill to get them to back down. We want 1351, NOT HB 2537 (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/billinfo/bill_history.cfm?syear=2007&sind=0&body=H&type=B&bn=2537).

There are some VERY interesting observations that can be made by the list of sponsors. Babette Josephs seems to have jumped ship, and has signed on to Thomas' watered down version. Other reps we have been working IMMEDIATELY signed on to it as well, including Youngblood & Sabatina. Rep. Siptroth also has come on to the Thomas version. In all, he has 22 sponsors, to wit:

THOMAS , STEIL , MARKOSEK , SABATINA , CALTAGIRONE , CARROLL , COHEN , DeWEESE , GEORGE , JAMES , JOSEPHS , McCALL , MELIO , PARKER , PRESTON , ROEBUCK , SIPTROTH , STABACK , R. STEVENSON , J. WHITE , HORNAMAN , YOUNGBLOOD (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/member_information/representatives_alpha.cfm)

McCall (Majority whip) is one we have been pushing to come to 1351. DeWeese (Majority Leader) is more Dem leadership on board. Some (perhaps Cohen, James & George) are hoping to make ANY statement against Real ID. The problem is that unless we STOP BIOMETRICS, the notion of our 'certification' as compliant is meaningless rhetoric. Only 1351 addresses the current PennDOT application of this technology against us. (Hence, the 'leadership' supports 2537, because it will maintain -- and expand -- the status quo.)

The threat of legal action under the Thomas version is likewise surplus verbiage. The Governor/Atty. General ALREADY has the power, if they chose, to file an original jurisdiction challenge in the US Supreme Court against Real ID. What is stopping them?

'Tis all double-talk my friends. Speaking with 'forked tongue' is all we are going to get from Harrisburg, UNLESS all ya'all STEP UP TO THE PLATE. Descend on the state capitol with Jim and FIGHT! We have the administration willing to 'concede' with 2537. (This proves we have made an impact!) Now we must show that is NOT WHAT WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR, and that nothing less than a total prohibition on biometrics AS WELL AS Real ID is the only answer we will accept!

A new HEARING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED on Thomas' bill on June 17th.

Be READY! There is also a possibility that SB 1220 could come up for a HEARING in the Senate! We seem to have enough votes in the Communications & Technology Committee to WIN at that level. BUT, be alert for 'brass' out of Washington.

EACH OF US MUST begin preparing WRITTEN TESTIMONY to submit to BOTH these committees.

Our approach is going to be this:

Based on experience in the House, I don't expect that many (if any) of us will get a microphone at such a hearing in the Senate. Instead, we should COLLECT THE TESTIMONY OURSELVES and PUBLISH IT OURSELVES! (We can't expect Senate Leadership to be 'fair' or 'unbiased,' anymore than we observed Thomas' behavior.) Prepare your testimony, and e-mail it to Jim. One printed copy of each person's statement can then be printed, and assembled into a 'people speak against Real ID' booklet. This can then be distributed to EVERY MEMBER OF THE SENATE, so they know what the PEOPLE think! Every member of the House should also get'em.

In the House, Thomas published the WRITTEN statements of the Berro/Williams/Meyers types, but did NOT reproduce and distribute my or other written testimony. PHOOEY on him! We will do it ourselves!

Now it is YOUR turn! Prepare a statement indicating (for the House) the inadequacy of the Thomas bill, and how ANY action against Real ID MUST include action to STOP PENNDOT from collecting biometrics AND ALL THE OTHER ELEMENTS OF REAL ID! 2537 is not enough. We DEMAND that 1351 be STRENGTHENED to match SB 1220, and THAT be the bill that is passed! PERIOD. Nothing less will suffice.

Include anything else you wish about your reasons for thumbing our collective noses at the Feds, constitutional, privacy or other concerns. But make sure the message AGAINST 2537, and in favor of 1220/1351, gets in the testimony! Get it to Jim ASAP, because these hearings are going to be THIS MONTH, so we need time to prepare the packets, copy and distribute them!

We CANNOT ALLOW Thomas to control the debate. He is tactically switching the discussion according to the whims of a Democratic party that has been VIOLATING OUR RIGHTS, and KNOWS IT! That must REMAIN our focus. It cuts through the forked-tongue of these career politicians, and alerts the others that our people are not as sheep-stupid as they are painting us. They hope we will conceed and be willing to 'take what we can get.' NO WAY! They are back-pedaling, and WE KNOW IT!

Sink the spear to the handle.

Also, APPROPRIATIONS/BUDGET MUST be part of our discussion. 'Cut it off' (budget), then 'kill it' (1220/1351). Mention money in your testimony, and what better things could be done with the $45.5 million Viisage contract!

VOTE FRAUD
The NVCCA continues grinding along on a new packet targeting vote fraud from electronic voting. If this subject is important to you, take a gander at THIS (http://www.keyetv.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoid=15304) short video produced by a Texas TV news crew. I have personally witnessed the SAME situation occurring in Pennsylvania. Any of you can too, by simply hanging out in the House gallery on session days.

I think it would be a MARVELOUS idea to attack this head-on. As the news crew reported, it is the job of the SPEAKER of the House to enforce their rules against this sort of behavior. Call the Speaker, Rep. Dennis O'Brien, at (717) 787-4610. If they want 'photo ID' of the citizens before we can vote, then he bloody well needs to STOP VOTE FRAUD in HIS OWN CHAMBER!

One time I wrote up a document detailing MANY rules violations I observed in the State House. This was one of them. NO WONDER this state is falling apart at the pot-hole level, while taxation is off the charts! The rights of the people cannot stand when the rules are continually being broken by the RULE MAKERS THEMSELVES! Demand accountability.

WATER REGULATIONS COMING!
Another really henious item of legislation is currently pending in the PA Senate. HB 1705 (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/CFDOCS/Legis/PN/Public/btCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&sessYr=2007&sessInd=0&billBody=H&billTyp=B&billnbr=1705&pn=2255) needs to be defeated. It passed through REP. CURTIS THOMAS' committee (imagine that!), the full House, and is now sitting in the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/cteeInfo/cteeInfo.cfm?cde=15&body=S). This is a bill that ties us into a multi-state Great Lakes) / international agreement on WATER!

Private well owners, ponds, ALL WATER in PA will be subject to these new regulations. Want to pay a tax on well water? Let this bill pass, and see what happens. Read the text of it. DANGEROUS! To be free and ALIVE, we need FOOD and WATER. This is the new and improved globalist control of water. What more can be said?

HB 2499
One of our activists brought another bill to my attention (HERE (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/PN/Public/btCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&sessYr=2007&sessInd=0&billBody=H&billTyp=B&billNbr=2499&pn=3749)). HB 2499 is another attempt to tax, license and regulate an occupation that needs no help from folks in government. Make some calls to the Professional Licensure committee (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/cteeInfo/cteeInfo.cfm?cde=34&body=H) currently debating this bill, and tell them to JUST SAY NO!

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Labor with us, please?

Aaron
