I was curious...where does Ron Paul go from here? The Primaries are 100% completed...well, not 100%, there's the Nebraska State convention where they assign the delegates to McCain and Paul (or just McCain) on July 12th, but the "beauty contest" for Nebraska ended May 13th.

So I ask, where can he go from here? There's really no additional delegates or votes he can pick up, so what is he going to do? After all, he only has 35 delegates (give or take), and McCain has over 1500 (not to mention Huckabee and Romney both endorsed McCain, which likely means their delegates would vote for him)....I'm not trying to be demeaning of Ron, but what can he really do--what is there left to do?

Maybe Ron Paul could file as a write in for various states?

Doesn't that start in a few weeks, as in a start date and deadline to be able to even file for that. When is that and will he want to do that?

Continue with what he's doing; touring the nation holding rallies and selling TR:AM, and educating voters. This is just one little campaign in a great Revolution.

I fear that our "leaderless" army is going to start branching out and lose momentum rather than gain it.

Sorry, I'm a pessimist.

It just seems like with the other like-minded candidates and people joining Obama's camp... we're going to end up making a few ripples rather than a large splash.

He can continue to do what he has always been doing. Honestly...if you really thought that this campaign was about him becoming president, then you missed hte whole point, and he fialed with you.

It doesn't take a mental genius to know that there was never even one second over the last year that Ron Paul himself entertained the notion that he was going to win the nomination, let alone the general election. This was about spreading a message.

You are thinking short sided though, Ron Paul is educating the public and not trying to win the nomination.

Let the dems enjoy the first black president and the first female vice president, lets get rid of all that racial bullshit and then once that socialistic democratic white house collapses us we can THEN take her back for good.

Ron Paul did a great deal for this revolution BUT we need to continue it and that means BEYOND ron paul indeed.

And with the manifesto that message can be spread for the next 4 years and EDUCATE the public so when we have multiple ron paul candidates for president in the NEXT election they will FINALLY make the right decision.

Not everyone realizes this, though. I'm sure even some people that have lasted this long will leave. After having held on to a last straw of hope for the white house a lot will probably just vote Obama in the end.

It's that "I don't want to waste my vote" mentality at work. Even a history professor of mine a couple of semesters ago said that the only vote that counts lies in the R or D party, voting indy or 3rd is a waste. It's sickening how strongly this nonsense is embedded in peoples' minds.

I agree, but then there are those who want to continue the revolution. I setup the Revolution By Mail and will soon be setting up the Revolution Book Club as well WHICH will educate people. Anyone who has woken up cannot go back to the same old horse race voting BUT odds are willl be hiding in the shadows until the next ron paul candidate pops up.

We just need to continue educating people, getting candidates into local, state and federal offices and those who want to help can and those who want to be pessimistic will do that whether we want them to or not.

Trust me, I just got done with a local mayoral campaign and have had ron paul supporters even on this forum sit and try and downtalk our efforts BUT the great thing is, we are not trying to PROVE anything to those who give up or assume we have lost, we need to continue fighting no matter what.

If people want to leave, fuck em the revolution will continue.

If the revolution is persistent (and I'm confident it will be), and the next person elected, doesn't matter who, is as much of a screwup as I'm suspecting, well... for every person that does leave, we've got a good chance of at least two more replacing them.

People<3freedom, they just might not know it yet.

Wow, you are entirely full of it.

Ron Paul has stated that part of him believed it could happen and part of him was more pessimistic. After his Jay Leno appearance, he sent a postcard to his supporters stating that while he may have cured our apathy, we cured his skepticism. Guess you didn't get the memo. Wonder why?

We do not live in a democracy and instead live in a Constitutional Republic which through a system of checks and balances protects our natural rights. The majority can vote for an IRS but you still have the natural right to your fruits of labor. The majority can vote away your right to defend yourself but you still have that right. The Supreme Court can even rule against the right to your fruits of labor and to defend yourself, but you still have this right. Ron Paul is out trying to remind people of this and how to do it, so take his advice.

We need to work together to get Ron Paul Candidates in office, simply enough.

Then, we work to go to the events that occur over the summer and early fall(GOP Convention, Revolution March, State Conventions).

Finally, we do every possible effort to keep McCain out of office. Then, the GOP is ours, and we can rebuild in our vision.
