Hitlary is pushing (badly) for the VP slot. This could go all sorts of ways...

If she holds out and tries an independent run, that could make the election really interesting and make a Paul independent run a lot more viable. It would probably result in a push from the Deb side to look into the FEC violations.

If she doesn't get what she wants and is bitter (she is bitter) and tells her supporters not to vote for OhBombUs, well that changes things too...

If they join forces, the GOP is toast this election season and pressure may be put on McCain to step down or a push to follow up on the FEC violations from the Repub side.

Also, about a third of Hitlary supporters hate OhBombUs and about a third of OhBombUs supporters hate Hitlary - so would this serve to unify or drive voters to the Repub / Libertarian or abstain side?

If she holds out and tries to pull a trojan horse, like we are, at the convention and still win it - the counts are very close and it wouldn't take that much, again, that could change things a lot and perhaps introduce an incentive to re-introduce Huck or Romney while knocking McCain off his horse....

Any way you look at it, it feels like about a half dozen wild cards just got slipped into the deck, and any of them could be really good for us!

ps: how have Paul's betting odds to win the nomination changed between yesterday and today? Granted, it's not been that many hours since Hitlary blew her response today.

You REALLY need to drop the FEC ting. IT is not going to happen. And McCain is NOT going to step down or be asked to step down so that a man who got less than 10% of hte votes could run instead. If McCAin is toast in November, then a Ron Paul ticket would result in a unanimous Obama electoral colllege vicotry in November.

Give it up! Ron Paul failed badly. Not in what he was trying to do. But in trying to get you to understnad. You apparently are under hte insane impression that Ron Paul expected to be preisdent with this campiang. And at no point in the last year or so did he ever think that was possible. This was NOT about getting into the White Hpouse. He is not a stupid man. He knew that was not going to happen.

Yes, I know he ran an educational campaign and had no expectations of winning it.

Yes, I know that even if he got a "second bite at the apple" he probably would not win the presidency.

What you don't get is that if he gets that second bite, he A) MIGHT win, and more importantly B) has the potential of being taken a lot more seriously and coming to the attention of a LOT more people! As in the message.

Getting the nomination or even getting closer to it speaks VOLUMES! - it means the message is viable and she sheeple will take note.
