Hitlary is pushing (badly) for the VP slot. This could go all sorts of ways...
If she holds out and tries an independent run, that could make the election really interesting and make a Paul independent run a lot more viable. It would probably result in a push from the Deb side to look into the FEC violations.
If she doesn't get what she wants and is bitter (she is bitter) and tells her supporters not to vote for OhBombUs, well that changes things too...
If they join forces, the GOP is toast this election season and pressure may be put on McCain to step down or a push to follow up on the FEC violations from the Repub side.
Also, about a third of Hitlary supporters hate OhBombUs and about a third of OhBombUs supporters hate Hitlary - so would this serve to unify or drive voters to the Repub / Libertarian or abstain side?
If she holds out and tries to pull a trojan horse, like we are, at the convention and still win it - the counts are very close and it wouldn't take that much, again, that could change things a lot and perhaps introduce an incentive to re-introduce Huck or Romney while knocking McCain off his horse....
Any way you look at it, it feels like about a half dozen wild cards just got slipped into the deck, and any of them could be really good for us!

ps: how have Paul's betting odds to win the nomination changed between yesterday and today? Granted, it's not been that many hours since Hitlary blew her response today.
