World of Warcraft is a hotbed for Socialism. I'm bored and it's hot as hell, so I've been trolling their off topic forum and discovered that Marxism is more than alive and well in this country. It was more comfortable to think it's just a fringe in the democrat party but I'm beginning to think it's permeated into the mainstream.
It's sad.

What'd you expect. Most of the people on World of Warcraft are thirty year olds who still live with their parents. Living off of other people just comes naturally to them.

Can anyone make more valid points about the WoW-Marxist connection, ammuse me.
I don't think Warcraft is communist, there are too many different classes.

Probably. I play a lot, but I work a lot. I try but it's too hard to argue with people who don't live in reality, and have no responsibilities.
I told them if they could find a liberal policy that defeats the following rule I'd give them my account for free. Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of it's stated intent. Ironically, one person brought up "The Civil Rights Act". I let him know that there were many acts, and they were mostly opposed by Democrats...enacted and supported by Republicans. It was also Eisenhower who sent in troops to desegregate schools in Arkansas.

I had an international relations class I attended awhile back. On one wall of the classroom was a copy of the US Constitution. One day I commented to another student that it was a shame that this fine document was ignored and mocked by the current government. This other student, a young guy, under 20 I think, immediately defended the "living constitution" nonsense by claiming times change and government has to adapt, or somesuch bullshit. Then he went on to speak glowingly of the need for strong central government to promote national greatness. I almost vomitted.

Strong central government to promote national greatness. Sounds familiar.

Hopefully. I don't like this halfway bullshit. I think we need to go way off the edge, get this bullshit over with, and then get some real change...or it could get worse. Either way, we're fucked.
