I've heard someone say it's all in fact true, and eventually the pilot was banned in Charlotte.

Here's what I have found through the video and a little research.

at the end he says, "and you to George Shinn, you were in that helicopter pilot, you were in that helicopter. And you're nothing but a chameleon, lemonheaded, coward, terrorist pussy."

George Shinn is the owner of the New Orleans Hornets, formally the Charlotte Hornets where this video takes place.

David Thompson (pyscho) talks about how he has previously accused Shinn of "keeping ice out the arena (Charlotte Coliseum) by "having his hand in the pie." He is accusing Shinn, the owner of an NBA team, of using tactics to keep the NHL out of Charlotte so he doesn't have, "a competing tenant."

Going back to what he says at end, he is basically accusing Shinn of flying a helicopter over his house because he has spoke out against Shinn in the past.

I can't speak to whether the pilot was banned, or whether any of Thompson's claims about Shinn are true. Very funny video

Edit: Around the :15 mark listen for an "uh-oh" from the panel
