Really...? I was always told his last name was too short and made them think of Ru Paul.

I honestly believe there will come a day soon, after the election, when people have an epiphany and visit youtube by the million realizing how diconnected they were from reality being fed lies by the new Scott McClellan's, Sean Hannity's, and Bill O'Reilly's of the world. Those of us that TRIED to wake them up are going to have to swallow a lot of "I tried to tell you so's"

IF they have heard, it is normally through their teenage or twentysomething daughter or son.

Only half of the people vote, and only half of those who vote pay any attention to politics before October...

A couple of weeks ago I was at picnicish sort of thing. Someone saw my bumper sticker and asked "Who is Ron Paul." I wanted to cry. Nevertheless, I started to explain he is a Republican running for president. Someone chimed in and said Republicans start too many wars. I pointed out that Democrats got us in to WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Balkans and that they are keeping us in Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't think she was listening.

I run into people who don't know who the vice president is and are unable to name a country that starts with a U.

I talked to a distant relative who I assumed already knew about Ron Paul being a (confused) neo-conservative Republican and all... Turns out, he'd never even heard of him. Lesson learned: don't make an ass out of u and me. I'm sending him a copy of The Revolution: A Manifesto in the mail.

Most people live such hectic lives that they don't really pay attention to politics aside from what their local news tells them. Some even try to avoid it altogether! There's a lot of work to be done, so chin up everyone. :)

I've seen 1 sign
and 1 bumpersticker
had 1 comment on my t-shirt

I have never met anyone who knew of Ron Paul, or that he was running... except my dad who called me a nutcase but didn't even really know who RP was :( CA sucks! But I still keep my sign up, my bumpersticker on, wear my t-shirt and hand out slimjims everywhere I go. It's hard though - I look forward to just ONE day of seeing another human face to face who says Yeah! I love Ron Paul too! There's a LOT of work to be done for sure.

If you do run into someone who's never heard of Ron Paul, remember to tell them to Google him.
