I see a bunch of posts talking about the future of the Revolution in 2010 or 2012. The future is now. There are candidates running in 2008, and this is the best time to mobilize, while the Revolution is fresh.

Go to paulcongress.com and find someone you like.

Just my two cents (or $2300) but Steven Vasquez in Albany NY is the best candidate to support in 2008. The incumbent is retiring, the Dems are in disarray, and it's a cheap media market. This is where your Ron Paul dollars will go farthest!

Republicans aren't doing well for the congressional elections (http://news.aol.com/political-machin...ion-democrats/)

This is oh so true! Always vote for your local RPR. Even if he doesn't win, do NOT vote republican in the general election if he is a neo-coservative. If they are liberty-minded but happen to not be Ron Paul supporters, then that is fine. But between a McCainiac neo-con and a socialist, pick the socialist.

Why? The key is this: If the Republicans lose in the Congress, then that begins to look worse. If, by chance, they also lose the election, then that means the Republicans are a losing party.

However, in this field, if even 3 RPR's get into congress, then guess what? Suddenly, the RPR's are the viable wing of the party. And, we can crack the stranglehold!

This also means that you CANNOT no matter what vote McCain. If McCain wins, it will only be that much harder folr a liberty candidate to win in the future. This means we need to

a) make yourself known. Work to take over the conventions.
b) educate yourself about the system. Loudly call out corruption by the Republican Neo-Cons. Study parliamentary procedure. Get a lawyer on your side if you can.
c) support Barr or Baldwin in the general election. If neither is available, then write-in Ron Paul if you must. If you have to pick between Obama and McCain, then do Obama. BUT NEVER MCCAIN! That will only make the system corrupt, and everything we have worked for will be gone.

support Barr or Baldwin in the general election. lol these people are not for liberty and you know it. Barr supports war in Iran, continuing the drug war, and is not going to give you any more liberty. Everyone here is better off going to New Hampshire to join the free state movement if you want freedom in your lifetime.

Barr supports war in Iran? Really?

First I've heard of it. Especially with his press release this week about reducing the role of the US military abroad.

As for the drug war, I suppose that explains why he lobbies for the MPP, right? He's been lobbying to repeal drug laws he voted for in Congress. People are allowed to change their opinion.

You people are as bad as the guys who were desperately trying to smear Ron Paul.

can you PLEASE get past the debate for a second over Barr's legitimacy, and look at it like this. ANY vote for either LP, CP, or (only situationally) Ron Paul write-in is a rejection of the Anti-liberty SQ. That is why I suggested either. One isn't your fit? Fine. Pick the other.
