Spurs/Lakers Series Rigged by NBA

For Immediate Release

On Tuesday night, with two seconds to go, and the San Antonio Spurs down by two points, Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Lakers fouled Brent Barry. Brent Barry, son of Rick Barry, was trying to shoot a three point shot for the Spurs. Brent "Bones" Barry is one of the deadliest shooters in the NBA. Barry had already made five three-pointers in the game and shot 95% from the free throw line this season.

But no foul was called by referee Joey Crawford, and the Spurs lost.

Joey Crawford has a vendetta against the Spurs & the Spurs best player, Tim Duncan.

The game was rigged because the NBA wants a Boston Celtics/Los Angeles Lakers Finals match-up.

Game five of the series is tonight.

Senator Arlen Spector needs to open a full-scale investigation immediately!

Both Ron Paul and the San Antonio Spurs are from Texas, and neither get a fair shake from the controlled corporate media.

The NBA is rigged. It also has the worst support to promotion ration of all the sports; it is being pushed onto people more than people are clamoring for it.

However, Congress shouldn't look into it, you should stop watching and paying for it, and choose an entertainment source that isn't fixed for gambling purposes.

At least wrestling admits to being staged "acrobatic athletics". I wonder what Tim Duncan and Dennis Rodman thought about the difference between the two worlds.

Fuck you OP. Lakers fuckin' Rock, bitches! Besides, the play right before the foul, Fisher missed a shot but the ball hit the room, yet it was ruled a shot clock violation because the refs thought it was an airball. That would have never given the Spurs a chance to have the last play anyways.

I'd spray silicone on the court if I thought it could stop the Spurs from winning another NBA title. They don't play to win; they play not to lose. Another title by the Spurs would just suck out more enthusiasm from the game.

Rules should always favor the teams willing to sacrifice defense for crowd pleasing offensive maneuvers. The Spurs are a bunch of felchers, and I mean that in the most sportperson-like, metaphoric sort of way, really:p

GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) :) :)

I have no idea if this was fraud or just human error. But I fully support congress spending as much time as possible on investigating and discussing this matter.

My reasoning is simple. If they waste their time on this, they'll have less time to do as much damage to the economy and American's liberties as they normally would.

Ok, how about we back up a few seocnds there.

When Derek Fisher put up that final Lakers Shot attempt, that ball hit the rim and then it hit one of the Spurs players and went out of bounds. The refs screwed that up. The ball should have gone BACK to the Lakers, instead of SA. But the refs called it a shot clock violation when the ball actually did hit the rim. The game would have easily been over after that.

Second, when Brent Barry tried to drive past Fisher jumping, he actually traveled on the play. He moved his left foot and then moved his right pivot foot before dropping the ball from his hands. That's a clear cut travel my friends. Thats a turnover and the ball goes back to the Lakers. Game over.

look at his feet. He moved both feet before putting the ball down. TRAVELING!!!

Sure that was a foul, but it should never have come down to that. Game should have been over a few possessions ago, but the Spurs kept getting all the calls ALL Game. Tim Duncan clearly traveled on one play and it was never called. Kobe didnt get any calls.

Spurs fans need to stop crying. You've been getting all the calls last few years.

Oh and i'm a Knick fan. I have no dog in this fight. Just giving a objective opinion.

As a lifetime Pistons fan, I tend to agree with you. Of course it's just the dissapointed fan in me talking but it sure would be a boring championship with Spurs/ Pistons. The NBA should hope for Celtics, Lakers just to be something different than the past few years.

Go Pistons!!

If Americans spent 10% of the time they do on sports actually paying attention to our government stealing their liberties and freedoms, we'd live in a much better country right now. :(

Good explanation above. Besides, lets' assume the refs got in wrong, who's fault was it for giving up a 20 point lead in game 1? If the Spurs had won game 1, they would have had a commanding lead which would have forced the Lakers to win in game two. At worst, they would have been in a tie series with the Lakers heading back home. So if they would have kept the lead in game 1(all their fault) they would have either been up 3-0 or 2-1 over the Lakers, forcing the Lakers to win.

It's unfortunate, but that's not the first time things like this have happened.

After watching the replay Barry wasn't even going up for the shot when the foul occurred. So, it would've only been two shots anyways provided there were four team fouls already.

Even if it's not travelling, he wasn't in the act of shooting when he was fouled. They would have had2 free throws at most, so I'd say the refs did San Antonio a favor by letting him dribble out and shoot a 3. With 2 seconds left, that was their only chance.

The series was rigged for sure.

Lest we forget, the Spurs had to wait four days to play game seven of their previous series at the New Orleans Hornets. Then, while the Lakers were resting, they rushed the Spurs into game at Los Angeles.

The Spurs won game seven in NO on a Monday night, then their plane broke down for eleven hours in the middle of the night, and they had to play game one in LA on Wednesday, total BS.

The powers that be rigged this. The Spurs still overcame and won four NBA titles.

That's funny, I would have blown you off before, but, when the Cardinals won the 2006 World Series, that was the same year that we played in our brand new Busch Stadium and Bush pitched the season opener, the Cardinals didn't even play at a World Series level that year. It was like a giant advertisement. The new owners here are good at this kind of stuff....... who do you think they had help them pay for that Stadium? Us!

People are saying that this stuff is not grassroots, I understand what you're saying, but, the real issue here is not sports, it's sports ownership, the money..... seeing corruption is a very grassroots undertaking!

No game is as pretentious as basketball the way it becomes insignificant once the buzzard sounds. This insignificance comes about because the game rewards the natural talent of a star dunking the ball as it does the learned skill of a lessor talented player sinking an outside shot. So, just how much can one talk about dunking the ball? Yawn! One is either born to do that or they aren't. Therefore, who cares who wins the series? Besides, Roller Derby is a lot more entertaining while its sport incorporated women long before pro basketball even dreamt about doing so.
