These organizations fight the government's abuse of power, and try to make the government live within the constitution.

It is good that you point this out--i.e., non-political strategies that others are discussing. It might be the most important lesson I've taken from the Paul campaign. Most of the libertarians participating on that blog were against the campaign very early into it and they seemed to make many valid points as to why, so I don't think those points can be dismissed.
