Hello again!
How wonderful to awake this morning to the news that Ron Paul got 24% in the Idaho primary! Supporters around the country remain energized, and Dr. Paul himself, astonishingly, is steadfast in his campaign. He'll address backers in Missouri and Minnesota on Friday and is slated to speak at the Texas and Montana state conventions next month.
Though our primary is long past, we in Illinois still have many opportunities to influence the direction and dialogue of this presidential campaign, while advancing our shared Constitutional principles. One of those chances is quickly approaching.
Ron Paul supporters from around Illinois are preparing to attend the IL GOP Covention in Decatur on Saturday, June 7. Some will work in our booth, others will serve as voting delegates/alternates, and still others will join us merely to familiarize themselves with the convention process and witness the proceedings firsthand.
LET ME REMIND YOU OF HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT
1. Attend the State Convention as a Guest
Consider joining us in Decatur to show our state delegates your support, as well as to mingle with and engage other politically oriented folks who actually welcome friendly policy debate! Help staff our booth on Friday or Saturday. The general session and voting is scheduled for Saturday from 11-3. The fee for all attendees is $50. In terms of accommodations, the convention hotel is fully booked, but some area hotels do still have rooms available.

2. Submit an IL GOP Platform Recommendation
The IL GOP Platform Committee is accepting recommendations for platform alterations/additions, which will be voted on at the State Convention. This is an ideal opportunity to let your opinions be known.

Send any suggestions to: PlatformRecommendations@ILGOP.org. Be advised that the Platform Committee will only review recommendations that include your name, home address and city.
No deadline was given, but any submissions most definitely must be made before June 6.
3. Make a Small Donation
Funds are still needed to stock our convention booth. We're distributing pocket Constitutions, campaign materials, DVDs, even Ron Paul chocolates! We're also drawing for silver eagle coins, many copies of The Revolution and other books, as well as a copy of the awesome HBO miniseries "John Adams." We would appreciate any donation, large or small, to defray the cost of renting the booth and outfitting it for two days of service.
