Planning to lodge in a hotel in the DC area over the Revolution March weekend? Check out these rates for up to 4 people per room, right in the DC area! More hotels will be added, but for now, here are 1,000 hotel rooms, ready for the taking!

Please visit http://files.meetup.com/1127996/DC%20Area%20Hotel%20Group%20Block%20List%20with%20 Rates.xls to download the current rate list. PLEASE NOTE that reservations MUST be made by certain dates, and that information is listed on the file, so pay attention! Some hotels include breakfast and have free parking - others don't - for specific information, please contact me.

Soon, some hotels will allow us to begin booking rooms online with our Revolution March 2008 blocks. But for now, call the hotel directly, and mention Revolution March 2008 to get our rates!

These are 1st and 2nd tier hotels, including Marriott, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, etc. Best Western, Quality Inn are others included on this list.
3rd tier, including Motel 6 and Super 8, will be added to the list soon, so if you are wanting one of those hotels, keep checking back! I'll have those posted as soon as possible!

Rates are determined by hotel brand and distance from city center. PLEASE contact hotels directly to request directions to the nearest Metro station, to take into DC, if your hotel is not in DC proper.

PLEASE get in touch with me directly at swolfe.ronpaul2008@yahoo.com if you have any problems booking your rooms. And, if a hotel tells you that the BLOCK is full, PLEASE let me know, so I can add more rooms if possible!

Well, have at it! Start booking! :)

Can't wait to see you all in DC,

Susan

I tried to reserve a room today at the Holiday Inn (at the Capitol) and they forwarded me like... 5 times... finally to Group Sales, and no one was there to take it...

The guy I got on the phone was like "oh, that's a restricted block, you have to call again and ask them to forward you to group sales."

Apparently the Group Sales people only work from 8-5... just letting you guys know :)

Hi hon! I'm so sorry about that! There is a group rate code, which I will now be adding to the hotel rates list. The code for the Holiday Inn - Capitol is RE8.

As far as the block being restricted - I was not aware of this at all. The Group Sales Manager did tell me today that she would be sending me an online booking link to give to our attendees, but my contract clearly states that individuals could call directly to 202-479-4000, and ask for Reservations. However, I am being told by reservations that people can only do that through Group Sales from 8-4!

Other hotels are now sending me information about online booking links as well, and I'll get those posted as soon as I possibly can! Thanks for letting me know about not being able to book directly through the front desk. I'll give them a call tomorrow to confirm the online booking link, and also to tell them how stupid it is that people can only book over the phone from 8-5pm, if in fact that is the case! lol

Thanks again for letting me know about this - if ANYONE has any difficulty booking rooms, PLEASE don't hesitate to email me at travlodge@revolutionmarch.com. I check email every fifteen minutes, probably, so LET ME KNOW!!!

Thanks!

Susan

Just booked my Hotel room - everything went smoothly, you just have to mention RE8 and you get the $125/night charge.

BUT, group sales forwarded me to reservations this time (it seems no one really knows whats going on at that hotel), and they took it. Already got my confirmation #.

Also, the Holiday Inn in Washington DC has a really good cancel policy. You can cancel until the night you are scheduled to arrive (which for me is July 11th) - so there's no pressure there.

Thank you Susan! :)

Made a reservation at the Henley Park Hotel (http://www.henleypark.com/). Anyone know anything about it?
