Anyone else with this problem?
I average about 3-6 hours a day.. usually spread out over 2 sleep sessions.

I think it gives us a bit of an advantage, though. For example, for awhile I was working 8-10 hours at my real job and 8-10 hours on the radio station. So I was able to work all the time and keep going without lagging behind.
Since I've been doing that so much recently, I'm just used to never sleeping... now it's like I can't even sleep well if I want to (except on the weekends :D)

I heard the Leonardo Da Vinci took 15 minute catnaps every 4 hours or so.

Really? That would be interesting. That's only an hour and a half of sleep, though. I could see if he was working on something huge (of course when was he not), but eventually the body needs sleep. I sure know that to be a fact. lol

I hope I can survive it, because by that time I'll be going on 3 hours of sleep for another 24. lol

Get to sleep you silly goose! :p
I've had trouble with insomnia in the past (usually stress-related, triggered by exams & heavy work load). I hope you can get on a better sleep schedule soon.

Haha.. yeah. Maybe. When Ron Paul is elected.
I can't go to sleep, though. I have to go to work in 2.5 hours. Then next week, I don't get off work until 1AM. There's no way to get a sleeping schedule with the extreme shift work I have.

I agree, it has enabled me with personal freedom. I was able to work full-time and acquire an education without debt. Now, I enjoy spending time with my child (almost 24/7), read a book every other day or so, built a super-high efficiency home out of 'surplus' materials, passive solar etc.; right now I am converting a diesel pickup to run on grease—its way fun! Before that I made glide-slope cluster munitions and force ordnance among other things--that was killing me.

Sleep is really important. I average about 9 hours a night, but I'm a hobbit, we need more. Sometimes I get insomnia or wake up really early, and just get up, but it's pretty rare. It's been scientifically "proven" that if you sleep a lot less, you die a lot sooner...

me too!
working 2nd shift makes my life MUCH easier. i normally dont fall asleep until 3 or 4 am. it takes me at least 2 hours to drift off to sleep. i usually sleep from 3 or 4 til 7am, and then i sleep from noon to 2 pm or so. i'm away the rest of it, and tired as hell.
insomnia mixed with ADHD sucks!

lol... I'm in that boat. Yeah, I sleep like twice a day. I'm about 7 hours away from a full 24.. but I'm not really tired anymore. Now that I'm home, off of work. lol

I love 11pm-5am. Everyone is sleeping, so I can do tons of stuff and not be pre-occupied with everything else
And, when I wake up, I have everything waiting for me the next day ;)
I don't think people realize exactly how hard or how much I work for this Ron Paul campaign. haha

I cant't sleep at night. I worked night shift most of my life and it turned me into a night owl. Plus daylight hurts my eyes when i do get up i always wear the shades.

I worked 11pm to 7am for years and now I'm able to sleep any time any where day or night like a rock for 7 straight hrs. in a bed or on the floor. I'm a professional sleeper, used to get paid for it.

Getting paid to sleep? Man, that's a pretty bad-ass job. assuming of course you have no trouble sleeping ;)
