I was playing around with with a college student character who just joined a secret society. In the basement of the secret society's lair there is a counterfeit money machine. Well, college is expensive, and this particular Sim got very desperate. He began counterfeiting Simoleons willy-nilly, until finally, the cops showed up, giving him a $1,000 and a harsh reprimand.
In the "memories" log where all personal recollections are compiled, the entry for this Sim's encounter with the police is recounted thusly;
"Caught by the cops! I guess I've learned that the law only allows the government to print currency without any backing in gold! The question is, will I try again..."
I don't know how those plucky programmers got away with it!
