Democrats Could Make Big Gains in Congress Again
"At the outset of this election cycle, most political analysts did not anticipate a second consecutive big win in November for congressional Democrats for a number of reasons," Charlie Cook explains.

However, after losing three special House elections this year and with President Bush's popularity dragging the party down, it's clear that Republicans "might get walloped again in November. The indications that they will are getting stronger and stronger. And the arguments that they won't are getting weaker and weaker."

If Obama is the nominee, the Republicans are getting destroyed in the House. The GOP isn't ready for a flood of college students to suddenly appear and vote in the Congressional election. They'll be caught with their pants down, despite seeing it coming.

I hate one thing more than I hate Democrats.

Republicans.

I look forward to November.

Replacing one corrupt, worthless, left wing party with another. Its not going to make any difference. I'd be surprised if I even noticed that they took over. They already control Congress and some polls have their approval ratings as low as Bush.

Hence why we should have long ago given up on the idea of getting Paul into office. Even if we were to achieve a brokered convention, watch gleefully as he ruins McCain's shit, and perhaps even witness a transformation of the G.O.P. wherein the likes of trotskyite neo-cons are purged with extreme prejudice, Paul would still get his ass handed to him by the Obama zombies.

I think things work better when the government is divided- one party has the presidency and the other controls congress. Each keeps the other in check a little better. When one is in charge, they think they can do whatever they want to.

Unless both sections were to come under the control of parties that claimed to have fundamental ideological disputes, yet continually worked to the benefit of one another...but that would be absurd

Both parties are scary. The dems are more overt about their socialist policies, though
