Ron Paul's Ultimate Revolution -- It's You!

The current presidential campaigns are being driven by self-interest on the part of the major parties, the candidates and the voters --- with the exception of one man. This lone Republican candidate represents our nation, the U.S. Constitution and long-held founding principles which made America the great nation that it once was. He contends that it is "we the people" who can return us to standing on those constitutional principles and a government abiding by them.

Ron Paul, underestimated and shunned by the liberal media and even the GOP, is still campaigning in all the primaries. He doesn´t expect to win. But he continues his campaign to "wake up Americans" to how far we have strayed and sidestepped our constitutional principles and governance.

His recent book, "The Revolution: A Manifesto," should be read by every American to gain some insight into how far our government has moved away from our Constitution. Paul addresses the ever-expanding federal government, foreign policy, increasing taxes, economic policies, ballooning inflation and debt (he´s been warning us from the floor of the House for years), and our disappearing basic freedoms. All are happening right before our eyes, while we continue to indulge and submerge ourselves in consumerism and entertainment, dulling our brains and turning them into mush.

What is Ron Paul about? Through the campaign process, he is attempting to educate Americans about the effects and consequences of runaway government. He´s about keeping the "Permanent Things" as Russell Kirk, called the founder of American twentieth-century conservatism, phrased it in his book, "The Politics of Prudence." Add Kirk´s society and culture book, "Redeeming the Time," along with Paul´s book, you receive a good education about the past and present state of our Union.

That is the message --- educate yourselves. Keep these books on your bookshelf along with copies of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and other founding historic documents and books.

All Americans would do well to keep them for the education of their children and future generations. They will wonder what their parents and grandparents were thinking to allow America´s freedom and liberty to disappear into the history of a short-lived democratic Republic.

Dr. Paul has the right prescription and in all the states´ primaries surprisingly found that there are many citizens who feel the same way.

Will the Real Republican, Real American, Real Constitutionalist, Real Patriot Please Stand up?

"Oh, way in the back there, the slight unnoticed man, the man married to the same woman for 51 years, the man who´s ignored in Washington as too extreme by most neo-cons and lib-dems."

The reality is that our two-party system is not working and our federal government is certainly in a heap of trouble. Can we even point to one major reform bill, one federal budget, one cut in government -- anything that represents the conservative view, the constitutional view of the majority of Americans, the last ten to fifty years?

The great broadcast journalist, Edward R. Murrow, once said, "A nation of sheep begats a government of wolves." More than ever before, we are that nation and that government. The wolves are at our door, already entering and taking over our lives. The question is whether we remain sheep and allow the wolves to shear us to the skin and suck our bones dry, or do we revolutionize the public debate by finally proclaiming "enough is enough?"

It is readily apparent that both major parties and all three government branches continue to exhibit disturbing tendencies which ignore our history and governing documents. Except for Paul, none puts the country and the U.S. Constitution first. Obama, Clinton, and McCain are presenting illusions of "change" which we know are sleight-of-hand tricks to keep us on track with growing the federal government, political power and ruling by fiat.

As Ron Paul stated on Book C-Span, basically "what it boils down to is the character of the people in office." He couldn´t be more right. But he also pointed to the peoples´ character and responsibility in electing and reelecting politicians who do not share the same values we hold so dear. Right again.

Common sense tells us we cannot continue this self-debasing society and government without declaring "Something has to give!" The death of the "Permanent Things" will also be the death of the United States of America.

Awaken America --- there is hope, but it will take much sacrifice of time and energy to provide a better future for America, our children and their children after them.

God Bless Ron Paul for running the Good Race! And God Bless those who follow in his footsteps!
