Premiums on Gold and Silver? Please share

What are the premiums you pay for gold and silver?

I am looking to buy some and the premium seems WAY too high.

Sorry to respond to myself.

I wonder if the premium is so high because demand is so low where I am so the "minters" don't sell enough to make a basic living here in South Korea.

I am actively looking for a gold supplier here.

My source for silver is my local coin dealer.

They charge $.50 over whatever the spot price for it happens to be at the time. They also buy it back at $.50 under spot when selling to them.

I buy junk silver and can usually get it at a few cents below spot.
