The proposal by Abertis Infraestructuras, of Barcelona, must be approved by the Pennsylvania legislature, and legislative leaders in Harrisburg have said the plan faces tough sledding with lawmakers.

Rendell called the lease plan “a very good deal for Pennsylvania drivers and taxpayers,”

Why does he not explain how this is a good deal?

Hell, they're having some Spanish country build the first leg of the NAFTA Superhighway, so why not?

Lol.... Borrowing time to meet short-term goals. When the state's economy is f'd, at least he won't be there to take the blame.

Lol.... Borrowing time to meet short-term goals. When the state's economy is f'd, at least he won't be there to take the blame.

First there's:

Military Industrial Complex

Then there's:

Prison Industrial Complex

Now there's:

Roadway Industrial Complex

In Germany - 25 YEARS... roads are built with technological advanced materials, for a cost and traffic efficiency for roadway life/surface expectancy of a minimum of 25 years
In the US, - 10 YEARS! I wonder if any US roads can truly meet that 10 year timeline?

Look at California's CALTRANS department of BLACK HOLES budget. I didn't realize that we cannot adapt foreign advanced technologies... oh, I forgot... it's big GOVERNMENT business once again, with states trying to get as much Federal Funding/EARMARKS as possible!
