RONVOY TO DC TRANSPORTATION PLANS CONFIRMED!!

TO PAY A $50 DEPOSIT TO HOLD YOUR SEAT ON THE RONVOY, OR TO PAY FOR YOUR RONVOY ROUTE IN FULL, VISIT HTTP://REVOLUTIONARYTRAVEL.EVENTBRITE.COM!

Well, the charters didn't work out...but that's okay! We've found a new, more affordable option, that will be more flexible all the way around!

We have decided to go with 12-, 8-, and 7-passenger vans, from each of the Ronvoy cities.

We have the vans reserved, and the rates are confirmed! No more worries! YOU have until June 30th to pay for your reservations! AND! Pay by June 15th, and get a free Revolution March Ronvoy to DC (Route City Name) T-Shirt OR a Revolution March 2008 hat!

This requires that from each city group, one person in each van must be over 25, with a valid driver license and a major credit card in their name to pick up the vehicle. We will finalize the payment with our card, but a major credit card must be present at pick up. If you are going in the vans, and you are willing to drive, please let me know so we can assign you correctly!

We have the confirmation numbers for the vans - they have already been reserved. All total, the cost is less for the vans than the charter would have been - the charter was at $360 per person. For some, this was a great option - but for others, not so great. The new rates are the best for all, I do believe, and all but one of the new rates are less than $360, some are under $100 including fuel!

The rates, when posted, will be roundtrip, including fuel and unlimited mileage. Keep in mind that rates do not include tolls along your route, or parking in DC, although parking is FREE at MOST Metro stations in DC.

Each traveler who pays by June 15th will also get a free Ronvoy to DC t-shirt or hat! We are asking for people to indicate the t-shirt size, or if they prefer a hat instead, when they make their payment, if they are paying before June 15th.

We actually like this option better, as it allows you to be as flexible as you care to be with your driving route - with unlimited mileage. However, it is IMPERATIVE that we follow the pre-determined Ronvoy routes, as there will be SOME, for instance, who will be departing from Milwaukee, who are "catching" a Seattle Ronvoy van. So, it is important that we stay on the schedule, and stay on the routes as much as possible! At the very least, we need to END UP in each liaison city at the correct location and time! (These specific local liaison locations are still being determined - they will be announced as soon as they are available. If you are interested in being the coordinator of a local location for the Ronvoy, please get in touch with me!)

I apologize again that the charters did not work out for our needs. The company was unwilling to extend the deadline, and they wanted to "reconfigure" the rates if we did not pay our deposits by this past Friday.

If you are planning to take the vans on the Ronvoy, PLEASE RSVP to "attend" (http://http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1881/calendar/7973393/) this meeting NOW. Then you can go to the Revolutionary Travel booking site at http://revolutionarytravel.eventbrite.com to pay for your Ronvoy seat! But PLEASE RSVP NOW if you are planning to take the vans, so that we can determine demand, and if we need to add additional vans to a route, we know that now. Using the itinerary, please choose the Ronvoy route your departure city is on, and RSVP, and in the comments, please mention the specific city at which you will catch the Ronvoy.

Please check out the files section on the meetup site at http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1881/files to see current hotel group rates. These rates are confirmed - but we have a very short amount of time to confirm reservations, so PLEASE book your room now to guarantee the Revolution March rate! Also, please use the Rate Code provided on the hotel rate sheet when booking.

We also have now confirmed reservations for TWO entire campgrounds, one holds 140, the other 195, and the rates are incredible. So, please, if you are interested in camping, visit Revolutionary Travel (http://revolutionarytravel.eventbrite.com)to book your campground lodging.

Finally, VERY IMPORTANT!!!
IF you are planning to attend any of the workshops planned for earlier in the week, please do NOT plan to take the Ronvoy to DC. The Ronvoy to DC schedule is based on arriving in the Washington, DC area on Friday, July 11 and departing on Sunday, July 13 to reverse the Ronvoy home. The earliest routes are departing the west coast on Monday, July 7, and will return on Thursday, July 17.
If you need a separate reservation made for a group traveling on different dates, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!

We look forward to seeing all of you in DC!

This is actually just what I needed, because the Buses were a bit too expensive for me (me and my boyfriend traveling from NYC to DC - college students - just couldn't afford it).

Really considering this! Keep us updated - I'm more excited about the vans than I was for the buses :) Thank you Susan :D

We are working hard to plan transportation and lodging for Revolution March 2008. We want to make it possible for EVERY PERSON who wants to go to DC in July to get there.

In the meantime, please feel free to look around the meetup site, and check out the itinerary (http://files.meetup.com/1127996/Revolution%20March%20Ronvoy%20to%20DC%20Travel%20% 26%20Lodging%20Itinerary.doc) for the Ronvoy routes. Detailed information for itineraries is listed on the June Calendar Page (http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1881/calendar/2008-06)- there is information about transportation rates and campground/hotel lodging. Please feel free to contact any of us, and if we can't answer your question, we'll get you to who can.

You can visit the message board, where you'll find people are posting if they need a ride, or if they can provide a ride. There are also links to pay for your Ronvoy transportation (If you can't afford to pay all at once, but want to RSVP that you will be taking a specific Ronvoy route, we are asking a $50.00 deposit to hold your place on the Ronvoy, which you can pay here (http://revolutionarytravel.eventbrite.com) and coming soon, rates for campground and hotel lodging, both along the Ronvoy routes and in the DC area.

San Diego to DC and BACK, including fuel, is only $220 per person? Chi-Town for $120? Awesome!

You may pay on or before June 15th, and get a free Revolution March 2008 Ronvoy to DC t-shirt, or a Revolution March hat!

The final deadline for payment is June 30th, but I recommend making your payment as soon as possible. There are different rates and different vehicle types on each route. The rates posted right now are the lowest rates available for each city. When these vans fill, we will have to go to the next lowest rate, so get your reservations made!

NOTE: If you don't see your route yet to pay, don't worry! It's coming!

To view rates and pay for your transportation along the Ronvoy routes, please visit Revolutionary Travel (http://revolutionarytravel.eventbrite.com). You may pay on the 15th, or you may wait and pay by the 30th. BOTH dates on the calendar have Ronvoy route rate and payment information.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at travlodge@revolutionmarch.com. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing everyone in DC.

If you've got personal vehicles to take from Philly, i definitely say carpool! But if not, then the next least expensive option would be vans, which I've got reserved out of Philly for $150 per person, including fuel... You just let me know!

In fact, if you are going from July 12th 6am to July 12th at 11:30pm, I can get them at less than $100 per person, including $4 per gallon fuel!

Do you know how much it would be to get a van out of NYC/person? :)

Do you know how much it would be to get a van out of NYC/person? :)

Well, hold off...I am working on a route from Providence, which could liaison with you guys possibly. I do have two 12-passenger vans reserved out of NYC, but they are expensive. Over $300 per person, and that's not with unlimited mileage.

So, bear with me - I am awaiting hearing back from the girl in Providence, and then I'll let you know what we've got.

Talk to you soon!
