As most of you know I have been gone for a while.

Earlier today I posted and I got some people asking what I was up to.

Here is the answer.

In the interim I have been in touch with lots of RP people and through the efforts of Tom Lizardo I got hooked up with Jordan Brown. Jordan worked for the campaign in New Hampshire. He is in his mid twenties, well educated and an excellent writer.

He pitched the idea of starting up another website to keep the Revolution alive beyond Dr. Paul and I have agreed to help out.

We reserved the URL: www.thefreedomrevolution.com and have started the work to create a 501 c 3. We have developed a mission statement and other founding principles documents. So far we have recruited Mark Cahal from these forums (MARK) to be webmaster and we have gotten graphics support from Linda Lagana. In addition, Jim Forsythe, Lizardo and others have agreed to join the Advisory Board. We would like to get others to join.

The site will be a more open, more modern version of Lew Rockwell.com. We expect it to allow almost anyone to publish articles and we intend to use a lot more technology within the site. (disclaimer: we are not looking to put Rockwell out of business or hurt him in any way. His contributions to the cause of liberty have been enormous. We just want to create an alternative that is younger, friendlier and more open to newcomers to the Revolution.) The website will have a lot of features that are not on rockwell's site.

We are only a couple of weeks into this project, but so far so good.

The model is bottom's up and open source. As a website it will only work if we are inclusive and open to all input.

Personally, I know that every morning my first stops are www.antiwar.com, www.lewrockwell.com, www.informationclearinghouse.net and this forum. I would like to add another stopping point to that list.

I tell all of you this because I thought you should know, and I invite anyone with an interest to raise their hand and get involved. We need help. We need founding members. Ernie Hancock has agreed to let us use his 3ove revolution graphics and to be a contributor. Hopefully others will follow.

If you have any skills or time or ideas and want to contribute to this project we are all ears. Send me a PM or email and I will get you in touch with Jordan and Mark.

Best to all,

Larry Lepard

I'd like to see a good place to combine all of the other efforts out there on the web, like Operation Cat Herder (http://www.operationcatherder.com/) and Ron Paul Gateway (http://www.ronpaulgateway.com/) attempt to do. We need a good Grand Central Station.

The cat herder project sent him a e-mail letting him know about the skills bank for help in whatever areas he needs.

We also helped the Freedom Tour and the Revolution March a lot the past few days and the DVD's for Delegates project last week as well as a number of the Ron Paul congressional candidates.

If you've got skills and want to help projects, please sign up for the skills bank:

If you're a Ron Paul / Freedom project that needs people with skills, please check out the skills bank listings and let us know what you need:
