I just got back (had to drive from Cincinnati)
There was a decent crowd, the whole lower section of the palace theater was pretty much filled. I suspect it would have drawn a larger crowd were it not for the Bowling Green Rally the day before.

I brought all my books to the rally to get signed but the line was so long I did not think I would be able to get to see him(they said only a few handshakes)...I was wrong tho because he met everyone it turned out. :(

The good thing about this was that a New York Times reporter was outside and approached me and my friend, he gave us a short interview and took our names.
Seems as if the NYTs is planning on doing a story about the future of the Revolution. Hopefully a big one if they took the time to send a reporter to Louisville. Would be nice but I can almost bet he will take us out of context...not like we said anything wrong, we were great, but it is the New York Times and I know as well as you that they are no friend of Dr. Paul's.

Well I had a lot of fun, was great to see him live!

Just thought I would share!

So what did they ask?

So what did they ask?

Pointed, simple questions on what the Ron Paul people plan to do in the future when Paul does not get the nomination. Will we continue to meet? (since we already had our primary in Ohio) I said we do meet and we work on local issues, the we expect this to grow beyond Paul and eventually into mainstream.
He asked why young people are so attracted to Ron Paul...we mentioned our liberties contracting, growing up with the Iraq war and the lies surrounding it. The state of the economy and Ron Paul's anti-bullshit approach to the many crisis's facing the country. We are going to get hit hard.
My friend talked the most...he loves to talk and talks very quickly. He said a lot about the basic human desire to be free. It was very nice.

The reporter had a recorder so everything is on tape.

He got our names and occupations. The one ting that worries me is my friend is unemployed right now so I hope he does not try to make him as a slacker. Oh well.

I find I don't really like reporters, he agreed with us whenever we said anything like a salesman..I doubt he was a Paul supporter, if he was he would have said so. He was full of crap in my opinion.

But any press is good press I suppose.

I just posted this in the picture thread but I'll post them here too. I thought the rally was pretty awesome. The crowd seemed pretty big to me. I went to the Louisville Rally today and after the rally they gave him a Louisville slugger. I snapped a few pics of him wielding it like a badass. I'll put the others in here too in case anyone wants to see them from today.

LOL

Anyway, I want to mention in his speech he said "People come up to me after the rallies and say, 'you gave us hope', I say How? All I did was talk about all the things wrong with the country" and he laughed.

But what I think it means is "You gave us hope by bringing us together".
The most devoted of us have always had liberty in our hearts and a hunger for truth, and as Ron Paul knows well this doesn't exactly give you a feeling of unity in most social circles. Through Ron Paul we can identify each other finally, and with our numbers we can convince others that peace, tolerance and liberty are not radical ideas but the only ideas worth considering.

I got pictures too. It was present given to him by the Kentucky organizer. The Louisville slugger is a classic bat made in Louisville. His grandchildren apparently love baseball and I think the guy thought it would be a sentimental gift.
He had his name inscribed on it :) And he was swinging it around teh stage for pictures..it was funny.

It was also funny when someone mentioned it might be helpful in congress lol

He said something like he was going to clean up Washington or something. It was pretty funny.

We were passing out copies of The Liberty Voice (newspaper) at the rally.

Who received a copy?

Wish I could've made this one. Looks like fun. But I did get to see him in Bowling Green yesterday. Here's our local Fox coverage of the event:

I don't think McCain is their friend either...not after all the heat they got from the McCain campaign and supporters back in February due to their story about McCain and lobbyist Vicky Iseman....I recall the McCain campaign was asking their supporters to cancel their New York Times subscriptions and give the money they would save as a donation to McCain's campaign.
