The JBS puts out some solid information about the CFR, NWO, etc. but they have an insane anti-homosexuality policy that I can't get past. They're also Christian I believe, while I'm an atheist.

Instead of the JBS, check out a more modern version called Freedom Force at www.freedom-force.org (started by G. Edward Griffin).

I am a life member of The John Birch Society and, for several years in the 1960s, served on the Society's staff as a Major Coordinator and official spokesman. From over forty years of personal contact with its members and leadership, I can say with authority that the Society is an excellent educational organization promoting limited government and opposing collectivism in all of its forms. There is nothing about it that is contrary to the highest standards of morality and ethical conduct. - G. Edward Griffin

That friend was fellow Congressman Larry MacDonald. He was president of the John Birch Society at the time and many thought he was planning a run for President of the U.S. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_McDonald

He was a patriot like this country has not seen in a long time. A great man.

I'm not a member of JBS but I had recently joined Freedom Force. I also did some research into JBS. I had received and believed the disinformation about them in my youth.

This movement has caused me to research and learn much that was mis-taught in my past.

The PDF at the bottom of that link is worth checking.

I'm reading through it now. I found this quote interesting.

There is no basis for conflict or competition between Freedom Force and The John Birch Society. It may appear on the surface that they are similar, but they are not. While their mutual objective is the defeat of collectivism, their structures and strategies are entirely different. It is like having an army and a navy, both with a common enemy. Each is made more effective by the presence of the other. Their differences do not make them competitive but complimentary. I am glad The John Birch Society is in the battle and I recommend that members of Freedom Force become members of the Society as well.

JBS kindly sent me 100 of these DVDs to pass out to the troops in Afghanistan. About 40 of them were gone by the time I left, so hopefully the word is spreading. (I left the rest in the common areas.)

I know. So what? My point still stands: JBS has a religious, anti-gay stance, Freedom Force does not.

Hmm... I can testify that at the event I went to recently (post above)
before they started they did a prayer. I'm not religious, so I just waited
'til they finished their prayer.

Not sure about the "anit-gay" stance. But I suppose that could be
true based on their strong religious beliefs/stance.

What a silly arguement.

I'm sure all of our Would-Be Masters are really good guys who are just misguided  and evil doesn't exist in the world... and my apathy won't impact future generations

RP campaign approved showing 10 minute clip from JBS video Overview of America prior to Ron Paul's stump speech at Duke University back on May 2nd. The video also got a good plug (http://blog.lawsonforcongress.com/2008/04/28/the-company-you-keep/)from RP endorsed congressional candidate BJ Lawson who introduced Ron Paul at the Duke event.

Video of the entire event is posted here (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5335883552107085649&hl=en): (55 minutes of Ron Paul unplugged with excellent sound quality)
